Days Gone Old Sawmill Nero Checkpoint is also a location featured in World’s End Storyline. This means that you must explore and unlock it in order to complete all storylines in the videogame.

This checkpoint is located east of Berley Lake Ambush Camp, southwest of Deerborn Ambush Camp, and northeast of Santiam Tunnel Nero Checkpoint, in Lost Lake Region.

Getting Inside

How to Get Inside Old Sawmill Nero Checkpoint Days Gone

Getting inside Old Sawmill Nero Checkpoint is very easy because even though this location is surrounded by a fence, the gates are open.

Before entering and starting the generator, though, we suggest disabling all MMU Speakers we have listed below.

Old Sawmill Nero MMU Speaker 1

Days Gone Old Sawmill Nero MMU Speaker Location 1The first MMU Speaker is on top of the guard post at the entrance. You can shoot it down, or climb the kiosk to disable it.

Old Sawmill Nero MMU Speakers 2, 3 & 4

Days Gone Old Sawmill Nero MMU Speaker Location 2Once inside climb the black crates to get on the roof of the MMU building. Four MMU Speakers can be found on the roof and can be disabled by pressing Square while standing next to them.

The picture above shows three of them, and below you can see the fourth.

Also on the roof of the building is the fifth Days Gone MMU Speaker.

You should see it on the other side of the roof opposed to the previous three above.

Days Gone Old Sawmill Nero MMU Speaker Location 6Another speaker you should consider disabling it is on top of the pole pictured above.

You can notice that it’s close to the MMU building, and you’ll have to shoot it down otherwise it will alarm all Freakers.

Old Sawmill Nero MMU Speaker 7

Days Gone Old Sawmill Nero MMU Speaker Location 7The seventh Nero MMU Speaker at this location it’s extremely easy to miss and can cause a lot of problems. Look for it outside the checkpoint’s fence, on top of a fence, partially hidden by a tree.

As you can see in our picture, it is close to the road leading to this location.

Generator Fuel (Gas) Location

After you silence all 7 speakers it’s time to start the generator.

The fuel canister is located inside one of the tents. You can see them inside the courtyard and they are impossible to miss. Take the gas canister inside one of these tents, then look for the generator which is several steps way, next to a large rock.

Press O to fill it with gas.

Finally, press Square to start it. The location is now unlocked and you are free to loot it.
