Days Gone: Horse Lake Nero Checkpoint Walkthrough

Horse Lake is one of the 12 Nero Checkpoints from Days Gone, the video game developed by Bend Studio for PlayStation 4.

Location & Rewards

Horse Lake Nero Checkpoint is also a location featured in World’s End Storyline, meaning that you’ll have to explore it in order to get 100% completion in the videogame.

This checkpoint is located north of O’Leary Mountain Safehouse, north-east of Cascade Radio Tower Ambush Camp and south of Jefferson Rail Tunnel Ambush Camp in Cascade Area.

Getting Inside

Just like the Old Pioneer Cemetery, to get inside Horse Lake Nero Checkpoint you’ll need to push a blue truck.

This truck is located close to the train tracks, in the back of the MMU unit.

As you can see, it’s standing on a hill, which means that when you push it down it will stop next to the building.

Unlike Little Bear Lake, at this checkpoint you’ll have to destroy 4 MMU Speakers.

Otherwise, you’ll attract nearby Freakers as well as a Horde that roams in this area.

The first one is in the corner of the building, on the right side as you ascend the roof.

Also in the corner of the building, facing the courtyard.

On top of the guard post on the hill opposed to the train tracks.

Under the train tracks on top of the second guard post.

Generator Fuel (Gas) Location

With the MMU Speakers out, it’s time to activate the Horse Lake Nero Checkpoint generator located inside the small courtyard.

The fuel canister can be found on the same hill where you found the blue truck.

Look for it close to the train tracks, and some black crates.

Once you find the fuel, take it to the generator and press O to fill it with gas.

Finally, press Square to start it
