The Red Dead Redemption 2 Who is Not Without Sin story mission starts after you complete Eastward Bound. It’s quite accessible and you should immediately complete it because it allows you to unlock the Cigarette Cards Collectibles and the Table Games.

Reverend Swanson is located near Flatneck Station. He is quite a character as you will find out soon enough. So, let’s see what he wants shell we? Look for the RS letters on your map and ride to his location, cowboy.

Priest Swanson seems to be quite a gambler

Funny enough, the priest is also quite drunk. But his poker opponents are not and because the priest can’t play anymore (he just passed out), you will take his place.

Gold Medal Goal Tip: If you are a poker player, this will be a walk in the park for you. If you are not, kindly check our Red Dead Redemption 2 Table Games Guide and learn how to play poker and other table games in RDR2. The Gambler Challenge is also unlocked during this mission, so make sure you know the rules of poker.

Either way, you need to win two hands for the first Gold Medal requirement.

Win two hands at poker to secure the first Gold Medal objective

When you end the poker game, you’ll notice that Swanson is gone. Damn priest…

Ask one of the strangers outside where he is and then hop on your horse. Ride to the yellow area marked on your map, just south-west of Flatneck Station.

Looks like the reverend is in a fight, Arthur.

Help him by attacking the man who seems to cause problems. Remember to dodge the attacks and counter by pressing O/ B. This is an easy fight compared to the one you had with Tommy earlier.

Unfortunately, this fight was spotted by a stranger who intends to report you. Don’t wait, cowboy!

If you wish to save time, you can shoot this witness

Follow that man on your horse and when you’re close to him ask him to stop. Get close to him and threaten the stranger, then if you look up, on the train tracks, you should see the reverend!

Damn fool! Call your horse and hurry up!

Approach the reverend and make sure you pull the left thumbstick up, then mash ▢/X to free his foot. The drunk priest did not notice that the train is coming!

After a short discussion, the reverend is back on the ground. Pick him up by pressing ▢/X and put him on your horse.

Gold Medal Goal Tip: After the cutscene in the train station, the clock starts ticking and you have exactly 2 minutes and 5 seconds to return the reverend to your camp. For this, make sure you ride as much as possible. From the train station to the fight scene, and to the witness. Then to the bridge above, and back to the camp. Running and walking is not an option for this mission.

Did you know? If by any chance you can’t beat the timer, you can actually kill both the stranger attacking the reverend and the witness. This trick should save you quite some time, but it will cost you honor points.

When you finally return the drunk reverend to the camp, drop him inside his tent and the mission ends. Don’t know what mission to play next?
