Red Dead Redemption 2 A Quiet Time is a Chapter 2 story mission you can complete in Valentine by talking to Dutch at Horseshoe Overlook.
A Quiet Time is one of the funniest missions we have encountered so far in the video game developed by Rockstar Studios, as it allows us to experience the nightlife in the small town of Valentine.
Are you ready to see how cowboys are having fun in the west? Make sure you talk to Dutch (D on your map) and follow our RDR2 A Quiet Time walkthrough below to get the Gold Medal for this story mission.
Description:
“Arthur takes Lenny for a quiet drink in Valentine to help to calm him down after learning of Micah’s arrest in Strawberry.“
Mission Requirements:
Gold Medal Goals:
- Try to make amends with an old rival
- Catch Lenny in the act
- Don’t get arrested
Walkthrough:
Talk to Dutch at his tent in Horseshoe Overlook. Indeed, things have changed in the west, Arthur. The world is progressing, and there is no more room for outlaws and cowboys.
During the first cutscene, Lenny is rushing to the camp. Seems like Micah was captured and he has been taken to the sheriff’s office. Lenny himself was nearly put to death but he got away in the nick of time. And Since Dutch is a wanted man, he can’t go after him.
But you can, Arthur. Even if you don’t like Micah, you have to help him. You have to do this for Dutch.
First thing’s first, though. Let’s head to the saloon in Valentine with Lenny, and try to calm him down. Some alcohol should do the trick.
Mount your horse and follow Lenny.
Hitch your horse in front of the saloon, then head inside.
When you enter the saloon lean on the bar and have a couple of drinks. Now you might be interrupted by an awfully annoying gentleman, try not to get rough with this mimicking idiot.
After a short cutscene, you will eventually wake up quite drunk and alone. However, there’s no need to be worried because Lenny has simply switched places.
Gold Medal Goal Tip: When you start looking for Lenny, make sure first you find Tommy (pictured below). Your old “friend” from Americans at Rest might know where Lenny is. Talk to him in the saloon to get the first gold goal objective, but make sure you interact with him several times.
Now, head upstairs to find Lenny. And you’re bound to find him on the walkway as you can see in the picture below.
After you have a couple of drinks with him, Lenny disappears again. The second time he disappears you won’t face much difficulty searching for him. Simply, follow the sound of the overwhelming commotion downstairs.
After having another couple of drinks, and enjoying a dance with the locals, Lenny vanishes and you must look for him for the third time.
Gold Medal Goal Tip: To catch Lenny in the act, check the left side of the first floor and find room 1A. This is where you will find Lenny, with a beautiful lady. You can see him below.
Next, head downstairs to bump into Lenny; who is also quite drunk. Slap him several times, then you will end up back to the bar, for more drinks.
The wild night you spend with Lenny in the town, will eventually end with some deputies trying to catch you.
Gold Medal Goal Tip: For the third Gold Medal requirement, you have to make sure you don’t get arrested. Everything would be going down in slow motion meaning that the trick here is to avoid the barrels in the way and the deputies trying to catch you. Slowly move the left thumbstick to go around the barrels, and after you exit the alley, turn right and jump over the fence in front of you, before you actually reach it. Otherwise, you will get caught.
And if all goes well you should be under a tree vomiting like there’s no tomorrow instead of being locked up in a cell.
