Far Cry New Dawn Rescuers Go Under, is a Treasure Hunt side-mission featured in the video game published by Ubisoft for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Rescuers Go Under, just like High Art requires the Grapple Perk. If you don’t have it yet, you should play other Treasure Hunts which allow you to earn Perk Points, thus unlocking the Grapple.
Some of these Treasure Hunts are For Whom the Bear Tolls, Going Haywire, and Riddle Me Fish.
Once you have the Grapple Perk, which is the only special requirement for Rescuers Go Under, head to the location marked on our map below.
Treasure Hunt Location
Rescuers Go Under Treasure Hunt starts close to a river, west of The Pantry Outpost.
This location goes by the name of Misery Falls and you can see it on the map below.
Rescuer Note Location
To start this Far Cry New Dawn Treasure Hunt, read the Rescuer Note located in front of the old truck pictured below.
“Brian radioed in and said that he fell into a sinkhole at the top of the falls. He sounded hurt.
We couldn’t wait for you so a bunch of us went ahead. Follow our trail and grapple up the cliffs. The caves around here get flooded easily, so you’ll probably have to swim.
Get in and hurry. Brian’s counting on us to reach him as fast as we can.”

After you read the note, check the mountain on the right side to notice a series of Grapple Points.
For the next part, things are quite straightforward.
Using the Grapple Perk, you need to climb the mountain. There are 4 Grapple Points you have to use in order to reach the top.
Once you get there, look around to spot the dig site. At this point, you have two options. You can descend using the ledges, or simply jump inside. At the bottom, there is an underground lake.
Now, follow the underwater tunnel. There is only one possible path, so you can’t get lost.
When you see the next cave, start swimming up until you reach the surface. Look around to spot more Grapple Points (pictured below).
Use these Grapple Points to go up and move forward. In the next section, you’ll have to crouch in order to advance.
Eventually, you’ll reach a tunnel which is only partially inundated. You can see it below.
Continue to follow this new tunnel until you enter a larger cave with two additional Grapple Points on the ceiling. Use them to get to the left side of the cave.
When you land on the ledge with a yellow crate, look around to spot a new path just below you (pictured).
The moment you drop here, the floor wills start shacking and you’ll find yourself in a new cave. Exit the water, and go around the green car, following the tunnel on the right.
When you reach the other side of the cave, the moment you get past the suspended car, turn right and climb on the ledge with blue ropes.
Just in front of you, you should see a black car. The trick here is to approach this car and release its brakes.
You can do that by interacting with the back wheel. Notice that the car starts moving and you can now use it as a bridge to a new ledge.
Climb it, and just in front, you should see the Rescuers Go Under treasure room and hidden stash.
Hidden Stash Rewards
Once inside the treasure room, make sure you grab everything and don’t forget the Perk Magazines located next to a pair of boots.
Besides the ammo, you should be able to find the following Crafting Materials:
Name | Amount | ||
Duct Tape | 203 | ||
Far Cry Credits | – | ||
Spring | 103 | ||
Gears | 204 | ||
Perk Magazine | 3 | ||
Components | 205 |
When you exit the cave, pay attention to the ground because most likely, you’ll encounter a Rattlesnake. Kill and skin it because it’s one of the 25 animals you have to hunt for the Master Skinnertrophy/achievement.
