After the success of Battlefield 5’s closed alpha announced by EA DICE in June, those who didn’t get the chance to try the latest Battlefield video game wanted to know when the Battlefield V beta will take place.
EA DICE just revealed in a blog post that the open beta for Battlefield 5 is set for September; two months before the release of the full game.
Several days ahead of Gamescom 2018, EA DICE announced that Battlefield V‘s open beta will start September 4 if you pre-ordered the game; or if you are a subscriber of EA’s Origin Access Premier, Origin Access Basic, or EA Access.
If you did not pre-order Battlefield V or you are not a member of the mentioned services, you will have to wait 2 more days; meaning that you get to play Battlefield 5 open beta on September 6. These dates apply to all platforms.
Those who are are eager to pre-load Battlefield 5 open beta, can do so starting September 3.
Since the blog post mentioned above is quite long; here is a summary of the tweaks and fixes EA DICE intends to address before the open beta.
First, we should see multiple improvements in the matchmaking, which will allow players to join matches faster.
Developers will also improve the stability for clients and servers.
In terms of gameplay, EA DICE intends to bring notable changes to the revive system; along with the ammo and weapon balance, and the bleeding out mechanic which are slowing the game.

Finally, EA DICE announced that the open beta will feature two maps (Rotterdam and Arctic Fjord) and two game modes (Conquest and Grand Operations).
