Battlefield V Devastation of Rotterdam Gamescom Trailer Gives Us a Glimpse of The New Battle Royale Mode

Can you survive the fire?

Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode is no longer a secret and it’s probably one of the most expected features in the game.

After announcing the exact Battlefield V open beta dates (yeah there is more than one); EA DICE dropped a new Battlefield 5 trailer.

It’s simply named Battlefield V Devastation of Rotterdam.

Why Rotterdam?

Because the Rotterdam Blitz or the German bombing of Rotterdam was a historic battle that took place during the WW2.

The Rotterdam Blitz eventually led to an immediate surrender of the Dutch government.

Why Devastation of Rotterdam?

Because the term devastation is the best one to describe what happened on May 14, 1940.

Simply put, during this event, almost 900 Dutch civilians have been killed; while the German forces led by Hermann Göring had no casualties or losses.

The Battlefield 5 Devastation of Rotterdam trailer tries to recreate the event above and somehow succeeds.

If you missed the trailer above, you should really check it out, especially its end where you can see a huge ring of fire that shrinks burning everything in its path. Soldiers included.

The said ring looks very similar to the one from PUBG and most likely will have the same role. To bring players closer and force them to fight against each other.

Obviously more details on Battlefield 5 Battle Royale Mode will emerge as we get closer to the game’s release date.

Until then, however, make sure you pre-order the game if you wish to join the open beta next month.
