Battlefield 5 Closed Alpha Details

Battlefield 5 closed alpha is now available for those who got selected by DICE, and even if you are not one of them; there are plenty of reasons to get excited.

As it was announced by EA and Dice, the BFV alpha is an event which grants access to the game only to a “small group of Battlefield players”. It is also an invite-only experience, in case you were wondering.

Although only a handful of gamers get to play BF5 during the closed alpha event, you should be happy even if you were not selected; because there is no streaming embargo or NDA.

This means that starting today, you should see a large number of Battlefield 5 gameplay videos uploaded by some of your favorite streamers on YouTube, Twitch and other platforms.

They have access to the following maps and game modes.

Battlefield 5 Closed Alpha Maps and Modes

Battlefield V closed alpha features the Arctic Fjord map in Fall of Norway; and two game modes: Airborne and Breakthrough.

In Battlefield 5 Airborne mode players get to attack their enemy’s artillery; or defend it against their opponents.

The Battlefield V Breakthrough mode, on the other hand, is based on capturing sectors by one of the teams; while the other one must protect them.

Finally, there is a Battlefield 5 Conquest mode which is a 64 players mode featuring control points.

Besides the fact that we get to see these BF5 game modes, we will also see how the progression system works, some of the rewards, player and class ranks; and obviously special and daily challenges.

Battlefield V Closed Alpha System Requirements

EA and DICE also published a series of system requirements that must be met by those who entered the Battlefield 5 alpha test. Keep in mind though that these are not for the final game.

In the future, the developers will certainly make multiple tweaks and further optimize the video game. The minimum Battlefield 5 system requirements for closed alpha include an FX-8350 or i5 6600K CPU and a GTX 1050 / GTX 660 2GB (7850 2GB) GPU.

EA, however, recommends a Ryzen 3 1300X / i7 4790 CPU along with a GTX 1060 3GB / RX 480 4GB GPU.

Battlefield 5 will release on November 20, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The video game is already available for pre-order on Amazon. Pre-ordering a copy guarantees a spot in the open beta EA DICE scheduled for September.
