Red Dead Redemption II: Silver Earring Location

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Silver Earrings are also valuables you can collect for crafting. The Silver Earring in RDR2 is quite an important item because, without it, you can’t craft the Bison Horn Talisman.

Similar to the Silver Chain Bracelet, the Silver Earring is a random loot drop. This means that there is no specific location where you can find an RDR2 Silver Earring.

Fortunately, there are several locations where the drop chance for Silver Earrings is higher. Below we reveal some of them; however, the rule of thumb here is to never sell items used for crafting until you actually use them at the Fence.

Where to Find the Silver Earrings:

Playing the game’s missions and looting the locations you visit during your Red Dead Redemption 2 journey is hands down the best method to find Silver Earrings.

For example, while playing Pouring Forth Oil – IV you’ll get to rob a train with John. During this mission, while clearing the baggage car, we found 3 Silver Earrings in the same chest.

The same rule applies while completing Home Robberies. These Red Dead Redemption II activities will lead you to special locations where your goal is to find Secret Stashes. However, while robbing the houses listed on our RDR2 Homme Robberies guide, you’ll also see chests, nightstands and lock boxes that might contain Silver Earrings.

For this particular item, we’ll discuss Watson’s Cabin, because in the nightstand pictured below we found different items after reloading the game.

Keep in mind that some items (including valuables) respawn randomly. If for example, you check Watson’s Cabin and the nightstand above, but you don’t find what you are looking for; you are free to save and reload the game.

Granted, is not the most convenient way, but it’s worth trying.

As you probably know, Train Robberies are also recommended when it comes to finding Silver Earrings in Red Dead Redemption 2. Whenever you rob a train – since we are talking about earrings – you’ll most likely find them when robbing women. Make sure you focus on them.

Assuming you still can’t find a Silver Earring, try searching Radley’s House north of Rhodes. You can see its in-game location on the map below.

Enter the house through the front door, and check the second room on the right. It’s facing the dining room.

Once inside make sure you search the cabinet we have also pictured, and presto! Two Silver Earrings!

Alternate Locations

Once you’re done with the mentioned areas, do drop a visit in the following places as well as they tend to have a surplus of Silver Earrings!

  1. Limpany, the Burned Town:

Another great location to find Silver Earrings is the abandoned town of Limpany, southwest of Horseshoe Overlook. Search the burned-out buildings for lockboxes and chests, as they may contain Silver Earrings.

Make sure to explore the Sheriff’s Office thoroughly, as this location has a higher chance of containing valuable loot.

  1. Braithwaite Manor:

Located southeast of Rhodes, Braithwaite Manor is a plantation house that offers numerous opportunities to find Silver Earrings.

While exploring the manor, be sure to search all the drawers and cabinets in the bedrooms, as well as the various storage rooms scattered throughout the property. Note that this location is part of the story missions, so be cautious not to trigger any unwanted events while searching for Silver Earrings.

  1. Loot Boxes Around Camp:

Your camp in Red Dead Redemption 2 is often an overlooked place to find valuable items.

While at your camp, search for random loot boxes and chests that may contain Silver Earrings. The probability might not be high, but it is worth checking before heading out on your next adventure.

  1. Ambush Sites:

Throughout the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, you will encounter ambush sites where gangs or outlaws try to rob them. Successfully defeating these attackers may yield valuable loot, including Silver Earrings.

After winning a battle, be sure to loot the bodies of your fallen enemies, as well as any nearby chests and containers.

How to Use the Silver Earring:

The Silver Earring in Red Dead Redemption 2, is used to craft the Bison Horn Talisman. For the said talisman you’ll also need the Abalone Shell Fragment, which is quite easy to find.

Assuming you don’t know where to locate the Abalone Shell Fragment, feel free to check our location guide here. Once you get both items and the Legendary Bison Horn, simply head to a Fence and craft the Bison Talisman.
