Nine Days Gone Crater Lake Nero Intel Collectibles must be retrieved from the fourth region of the video game developed by Bend Studio for PlayStation 4; thus we have created the following locations guide and map to help you find them.
Crater Lake Nero Intel Locations Map
Similar to the Intel Collectibles in Lost Lake Region, and those in Belknap, in order to get 100% completion in Crater Lake, you’ll have to find all Nero Recorders displayed on our map.
The following guide covers all Nero Recorders in the Crater Lake Region and provides an in-depth approach for each collectible.
The guide follows the same order as the one on our map, thus it will help you track every Nero Intel in Crater Lake.
Intel 1 – Researcher Field Note – 2027
Location: The first Days Gone Crater Lake Intel Collectible on our map is located inside a cave you’ll explore during “Leave All That by the Door” mission.
This is also a Crater Lake Research Site and the recorder is next to the Nero Injector. To get it, you’ll have to explore the lower tunnel, looking for a lever that will activate a lift. This will take you to an upper tunnel and the Nero Intel will be close to the exit.
The lever is on the left side of the tunnel on the lower floor.
Intel 2 – Researcher Field Note – 1833
Location: The second Days Gone Nero Intel on our map above is inside a camp, on a hill we have marked. There is no path or street leading to this location, so drive through the woods.
To reach the camp, go right towards the mountain and then follow the small dirt road. This is also a Nero Research site and the Intel Recorder is by the crate with the Nero Injector.
Intel 3 – Researcher Field Note – 1463
Location: Another Intel Recorder Collectible is found at the third Research Site.
It is quite easy to find behind a waterfall.
Intel 4 – Researcher Field Note – 2069
Location: The fourth Days Gone Crater Lake Recorder is also inside a Research Site.
At the location we have marked, you’ll find a house with many Newts on the roof.
Get inside and the collectible will be waiting for you in the kitchen, by the window and next to a Nero Injector.
Intel 5 – Flight Data Recording – 1787
Location: The fifth collectible is by a helicopter on the island we have marked on our map. To get this Nero Intel you’ll have to jump with your bike using the ramp next to a dead Nero scientist.
Use Deacon’s bike nitro to land on the island, and after you grab the Intel and the IPCA Tech, use another ramp to jump back.
Intel 6 – Mobile Medical Unit Recording – 1683
Location: The sixth Days Gone Nero Intel Collectible, is found inside Spruce Lake Nero Checkpoint.
You’ll find it after you unlock the MMU building, sitting on a counter near the Gun Locker.
Intel 7 – Mobile Medical Unit Recording – 1682
Location: Also inside a checkpoint (Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway) is the seventh recorder marked on our map.
Look for it on another counter in the same building where the Gun Locker is found.
Intel 8 – Researcher Field Note – 2043
Location: The eighth Nero Intel is out in the wilderness. Trave to the spot on our Days Gone map and look for a damaged road and a yellow school bus.
The collectible is in front of a Nero Scientist who died next to a truck.
Intel 9 – Inspector Field Note – 1680
Location: The final video game collectible in this Days Gone region is harder to find without a map. At the location we have marked, you’ll find a disposal site.
The intel is sitting on one of the two yellow tractors, as pictured above.
Here’s a golden nugget for all treasure hunters – no collectible is beyond your reach! After the main storyline concludes, you’re free to roam all regions and gather any remaining collectibles.
Do note, however, that the “Lost Lake” and “Crater Lake” regions become temporarily off-limits towards the end of the story. Fear not, as the entire map becomes your playground post-story, allowing you to resume your quest for collectibles.
Bravo! You’ve successfully navigated the Crater Lake region and unearthed all its Nero Intel Collectible Locations. But the journey is far from over. Our extensive Days Gone Collectibles Guide awaits, brimming with more collectible types and locations.
