Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App was announced by Rockstar Games two days before the release of the video game we all been waiting for.
The free Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App can be downloaded for both iOS and Android; allowing you to connect your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 to your favorite mobile device.
Once connected, the RDR2 App will provide real-time access to the game’s map. This way you can mark specific points of interest or set waypoints.
Additionally, the RDR2 Companion App comes with Arthur Morgan’s Journal which updates as you progress through the game.
The most interesting feature, however; is that you can use the Red Dead Redemption 2 App to transfer the game’s HUD elements from your TV to your mobile device.
What does this mean?
It means that you can clean your HUD and focus on the game; while the minimap, health gauge and everything else, are on your phone or tablet.
Finally, the free Companion App for Red Dead Redemption 2 includes the game’s manual as well as the Red Dead Redemption 2 Complete Official Guide from Piggyback. The latter, though; is optional and you must pay for it.
To download the Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App, use your Google Play account on Android devices; or the App Store on iOS devices.
Keep in mind that while the app will take less than 5 minutes to download, Red Dead Redemption 2 is quite large.
Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on PS4 and Xbox One starting October 26, 2018.
If you didn’t secure a copy yet, you can do it on Amazon for $59.96, or you can opt for the Red Dead Redemption 2 PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle.
