Since we are very close to the release of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2, Sony wants to make sure players and fans of the series will fully enjoy one of the most expected video games of the year.
Therefore, the Japanese company recently announced the Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro Bundle; which will be available the same day as Red Dead Redemption 2. On October 26, 2018.
This means that if you don’t own a gaming console; or want to upgrade your current gaming system, you now have the chance to buy the Red Dead Redemption 2 PlayStation 4 Bundle, because pre-orders are already available.
Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro Bundle Price
As you can expect, this bundle is not cheap, but don’t forget that we are talking about a 1TB PlayStation 4 Pro unit. Why 1TB? Because Red Dead Redemption 2 requires a lot of free space.
On Amazon, for example, a 1TB PS4 Pro currently sells for $550.61 while at BestBuy.com you will have to pay around $400. Quite a difference, right?
Also, on Amazon, a physical copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 costs $59.96, which means that bought individually, the PS4 Pro and Rockstar’s video game will cost around $610 on Amazon and $460 on BestBuy.
But guess what? Sony announced that they are selling their bundle for $399.99 USD or $499.99 CAD. Is it worth it? We say it does, but it really depends on several factors.
Who Should Buy a Red Dead Redemption 2 PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle?
As we have outlined above, the price announced by Sony, clearly makes the RDR2 PS4 Bundle a killer deal; however, if you truly want to enjoy this console, you need a little more than just the bundle.
Assuming you don’t have a PlayStation 4 but you have a 4K HDR TV, then this one is for you. No questions asked. For the price announced by Sony, you will get one of the most anticipated games of 2018 and a 1TB PS4 Pro. It can’t get better than that.
The big question, arise if you don’t have a 4K HDR TV but you already have a PS4. Should you get the Red Dead Redemption 2 Bundle? The answer here depends on what you plan to do in the future. Are you going to upgrade your TV or gaming monitor? If not, you don’t really need this bundle and you can stick to your current PS4. Why?
Simply because if you own an HDR TV, you won’t see the difference between the PS4 Pro and your normal PS4.
On the other hand, if you have an HD TV, the Supersampling Mode available on PS4 Pro is not worth the price asked by Sony for this bundle.
As you can see, buying the new Red Dead Redemption 2 PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle is a tough decision which depends on your current gaming gear and what you plan to do in the future; but because of its price, you should definitely consider this offer.
