Next time someone tells you that being a gamer is not an expensive hobby; make sure you show him/her the Devil May Cry 5 Ultra Limited Edition picture above.
Recently announced on e-capcom.com the DMC 5 Ultra Limited Edition above is something worth seeing. Buying it, on the other hand, it’s out of the question for most, and not because it’s available in Japan only; but because of its ridiculous price.
972,000 yen more precisely, which translates in around $8,600, with tax.
We have to admit that the Devil May Cry 5 Ultra Limited Edition’s price announced by Capcom, puts many special editions to shame. Even Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Pantheon Edition sold for a whopping $219.99.
The obvious question you may have, is what’s so special with the DMC5 Ultra Limited Edition?
The long answer short is the jacket!
So basically, by purchasing the Ultra Limited Edition of Devil May Cry 5 you pay $8,600 for a leather jacket. Granted, it is based on the one the game’s motion actor wore (see pictures below); but still.
Assuming you’re not a fan of Dante, e-capcom allows you to switch the jacket and replace it with a replica of Nero’s costume, or V’s.
The Devil May Cry 5 Nero jacket can be purchased with a damaged sleeve or without it; in order to match the one from the DMC 5 announcement trailer. It costs “only” $7,176 and it also includes a copy of the game.
Finally, if you running low on money, you can pick V’s jacket below; which is available on e-capcom.com for $5,741.
Devil May Cry 5 Ultra Limited Edition and all 3 replica costumes are available for pre-order from October 22, 2018, until November 19, 2018.
Whilst you may not have the necessary funds to purchase one of these limited jackets; you can still pre-order a physical copy of Devil May Cry 5 for $59.99.
Devil May Cry 5 releases March 8, 2019, on Xbox One, PC and PS4. Not sure if you should buy it? Watch the DMC5 uncut gameplay trailer.
