Red Dead Redemption II: Legendary Bharati Bear Hunting Guide

RDR2 Legendary Bear

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Bharati Bear or just Legendary Bear is the same bear you encounter while playing Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego story mission in Chapter 2 of the video game.

Assuming you didn’t kill it during the said mission, you can attempt taking it down later; although sooner is better. Before heading toward the location marked on our map below, make sure that you are equipped accordingly.

For this Red Dead Redemption II Legendary Bear, we suggest you use the same weapon you have used while hunting the Legendary Wolf.

Yes, Manito’s Rare Shotgun found at location 13 in our Unique Weapons Guide, is just the weapon you need; as you can’t damage the pelt of Legendary Animals.

Keep in mind though not to use the same weapon when you hunt for a common RDR2 Grizzly Bear.

Grab the said shotgun and ride to O’Creagh’s Run to take down the RDR2 Legendary Bharati Bear.

Description:

” The Legendary Bharati is endemic to O’Creagh’s Run, in the Grizzlies East. This bear is larger than any other that has been spotted in the region. The distinctive scars across its face and body make this creature easily identifiable. As an omnivore, its diet ranges from berries, roots, and grasses to deer, elk, fish, and carrion. Long range weapons like a long scope rifle or a Bow with Improved Arrows will give you the advantage when hunting this animal. Killing this animal will give you the opportunity to craft a rare talisman.”

Legendary Bear Location:

  • North-west of O’Creagh’s Run

Recommended Weapon & Ammo:

  • Manito’s Rare Shotgun
  • Regular Ammo

Hunting & Tracking Guide:

Between a tree and a large rock, you should be able to spot one of the Legendary Bear tracks. Pictured below, are some broken sticks.

Aim for the head and try to put as many bullets as you can in it before it reaches you.

Eventually, the Legendary Bharati Bear will put you down, so start mashing O/B to break free. The moment you set yourself free aim for the bear’s head and it will fall.

If you don’t manage to break free you will most likely die.

Craftable Items:

Now, skin the animal and head to the nearest trapper, to craft the following garments using the Legendary Bear Pelt you just collected.

The Legendary Bear Head Hat

  • Legendary Bear Pelt x1
  • $40

The Legendary Bear Coat

The Legendary Bear Roper

  • Legendary Bear Pelt x1
  • Perfect Bull Hide x1
  • $34

At the Fence, using the Legendary Bear Claw you can craft the Bear Claw Talisman. The talisman, however also requires a Silver Chain Bracelet and a Quartz Chunk. The Red Dead Redemption 2 Silver Chain Bracelet is a random loot drop but you can also try finding one at Aberdeen Pig Farm.

The RDR2 Quartz Chunk, on the other hand, can be obtained after mailing the location of one Dinosaur Bone to MacGuiness.
