Jack, aka Subject Zero, is one of the most powerful human biotics alive. She is a notorious criminal known for kidnapping, vandalism, and murder. Jack is a squadmate in Mass Effect 2 and a supporting character in Mass Effect 3. She is a possible romance option in these games for male Shepard only. How to Romance Jack in Mass Effect
Jack makes her first appearance in Mass Effect 2. The following is how you can romance her.
Mass Effect 2
After the main quest, Dossier: The Convict, you will recruit her as a squadmate for your party. She is located on the lower level of the Normandy, standing isolated from others. Talk to her and exhaust her dialogue options. She will think that you are only talking to her to have sex with her. If you select the “Yes, I want you” option, then your romance with Jack will end here.
Avoid it and go back to completing quests. After her loyalty mission, Jack: Subject Zero, you will have multiple conversations with her. In one of these conversations, you will get the option to say, “I’m interested.” Select it, and your romance with Jack will start.
After completing both Jack’s and Miranda’s loyalty missions, an argument will break between them. If you have enough Paragon or Renegade points, you can settle the argument. If you do not have it, then side with Jack. After some time, you will have another conversation with her. Here you have to make sure that you show your interest in her.
She will open up more as you talk to her. Take your time while talking with her. Do not rush anything and risk the romance being cut off. Just before the Suicide Mission, she will come to your cabin, and you can reply to her by saying, “I’m glad you’re here” This will start your romance with Jack. Ensure Jack from dying in the Suicide Mission, or else she will not appear in the third game.
Mass Effect 3
After completing the quest Priority: Palaven, you will get a mission at Grissom Academy. Accept it as this will allow you to meet Jack, a missable character in this game. After completing this mission, you can meet her at the Purgatory bar on the Citadel.
Speaking to her and continue your romance with Jack. She will now appear before the last mission for a proper romantic sent off. The Legendary Edition contains the Citadel DLC questline, which has extra interactions with her.
