Bluegleam is a form of currency that you can use alongside shards in Horizon Zero Dawn Frozen Wilds. This is a rare currency but you can trade it with vendors to get powerful weapons and Banuk boxes. Note that this currency is only used as part of the Frozen Wilds DLC. This means that you need to own the DLC in order to get it. You also need to be in the new DLC area called the Cut in order to be able to get it. You will only be able to trade this currency with special traders in this new area introduced as part of the DLC.

You can get Bluegleam in the open world or you can earn it as a reward for completing different quests that are part of the DLC. These look like Blue crystals and can only be picked once per source. You can usually find it high up in the mountains but you can buy a Bluegleam map from special vendors which will give you the locations of where you can pick up this rare resource.
