How To Kill A Glinthawk In Horizon Zero Dawn
The body of the machine is weak to fire and is strong against freeze. So use fire arrows in order to take it down and deal the most damage to its body. It has a freeze sac underneath its main body which you can shoot at to trigger an explosion. The explosion is going to deal high damage to the Glinthawk and is also going to deal freeze damage to anything that is around it.
The beak of the machine is a weak point as well. You can shoot it with tear arrows in order to remove it and keep the Glinthawk from attacking you with it. Once it is removed you can pick it up and use it for crafting or you can sell it.
When the Glinthawk is hit with a fire arrow it is going to fall to the ground and will not attack for a short duration of time. You can take this opportunity to run towards it and use the critical strike ability on it to deal a lot of damage and potentially take it out there and then.
Glinkhawks are attracted to dead machines. Flocks of them are going to get whatever scraps they can find from dead machine bodies. If the dead machine is small then a Glinthawk can even carry it and fly away with the corpse.
