No Good Deed is a Stranger Mission available in Red Dead Redemption 2, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Red Dead Redemption II No Good Deed Stranger Mission can be played when you reach Chapter 3 of the video game and Dutch’s gang relocates to Clemens Point.
No Good Deed is a short mission you can complete without too much effort; however, there are several requirements you must meet in order to make the stranger spawn at the location on the map below.
All these requirements have been outlined in our walkthrough below.
When you’re ready to play No Good Deed, check the map below and travel to the location marked by a question mark between 6 AM and 6 PM.

- Complete American Distillation and two additional story missions
- Available between 6 AM and 6 PM
Walkthrough:
When you approach the area marked on the map, you will find a stranger sitting on a crate next to a small wooden fence. You can see him in the picture below.
Meet Dr. Alphonse Renaud
This stranger goes by the name of Dr. Alphonse Renaud. If you listen to his story, you’ll find out that he was a doctor and he was actually helping people.
A rival gang though, undercut him by stealing his wagon. There are various reasons according to him; however, because of the game’s setting, most likely the goons were offended by the color of his skin.
Regardless, Arthur accepts to help this poor fellow, and find his wagon. As you head back to your horse, you’ll hear a nearby character telling you where Dr. Alphonse Renaud’s wagon is located.
Open your map and you should see it just north of Bayou Nwa, at Macomb’s End.
Ride to Macomb’s End, and when you approach the small camp, take cover behind a tree and open fire. Arthur’s Dead Eye skill and a powerful rifle (preferably equipped with a scope) will help you clear the whole area in no time.
Take out the thugs one by one
Once all bandits are dealt with, make sure you loot their corpses, then check the right side of the dock, to find Alphonse Renaud’s medical wagon.

Hop on it, and carefully drive it back to Rhodes following the marked path on your minimap. On your way back two thugs will try to stop you, but they won’t pose a threat if you activate the Dead Eye skill.
Keep in mind that if you damage the wagon, you’ll fail the mission.
As you arrive in Rhodes, Alphonse Renaud will hand you a book and will respectfully bid farewell.
