A Fine Night for It is a Red Dead Redemption 2 Stranger Mission that can be easily missed if you don’t know how to start it.
It is very similar to American Dreams because it is triggered after a Unique Chance Encounter, although it is a little shorter.
To be able to play A Fine Night for It, first you must start Chapter 2 in the video game, and second, you must assist a Unique Chance Encounter.
As we have mentioned in our Red Dead Redemption 2 Unique Chance Encounters Guide, if you visit the Bluewater Marsh area at night; you might meet some strange folks who will either attack or spook you.

The first thing you need to do is to visit the locations we have marked above in red, during the night. As you walk around from one spot to another, you will eventually trigger a Unique Chance Encounter.
These Chance Encounters take various forms. For example, you might assist a torch procession, or a shadow might stalk you. You may also hear creepy voices or a woman asks for your help, then the Nigh Folks ambush you.
Regardless, after one of these encounters, the stranger who allows you to start A Fine Night for It mission will spawn at the location we have marked.
Head there immediately, but keep in mind that the mission may not be available if the sun is up.
After you talk to the stranger, the actual mission begins. The poor fellow wants to return home but his property was occupied by the Night Folk.
So, you Arthur agree to help the stranger and follow him closely. The road ahead is a long one, so be patient because the old stranger wants to show you several bodies and tell you some stories.
You can’t rush this part so walk with him all the way to his house.
When you get to the stranger’s house take cover behind the first tree and open fire on the Night Folk nearby. A recommended weapon is Manito’s rare shotgun you found at Manito Glade; if you followed our Unique Items Locations Guide.
The said weapon is powerful enough to take out a Night Folk with a machete with one shot. These are quite dangerous and can kill you instantly.
Once you clear the first wave, rush to the stranger’s house and get ready for more.
Take cover on the porch and take out all the Night Folks that appear. Prioritize those with machetes, followed by those with bows.
After you clear the second wave, head inside and talk to the old stranger. As a reward for helping him, he will give you a Gold Tooth you can sell for cash, and a Perfect Muskrat Pelt.
Make sure you take both of them and also loot the bodies outside. The mission ends when you exit the area.
