Days Gone Cascade Lakes Rail Line Infestation is one of the two Highway 97 Infested Areas featured in the latest video game developed by Bend Studio for PlayStation 4.
Cascade Lakes Rail Line Infestation Location & Nests Map
This Infestation is located north-east of Aspen Butte Ambush Camp, north of Chemult Community College Nero Checkpoint and also east of Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway Nero Checkpoint in Highway 97 Region.
Eventually, you’ll have to enter this area while working on completing the Infestation Exterminator Storyline.
This site includes 5 Freakers Nests you’ll need to destroy, and our videogame guide below explains where to find them and how to secure this area.
Keep in mind that this area is also a Horde territory, and you might want to deal with them first.
Cascade Lakes Freakers Nest 1
The first Infestation Nest we have marked on our map above is located inside a white van.
At night, when set on fire, 2 Freakers will spawn; however, there are at least five of them outside. After the nest burns, you’ll be able to retrieve a Nest Residue from it.
Cascade Lakes Freakers Nests 2 & 3
The next two Freakers Nests are very close to each other as you can see in the picture above. One of them (left side) is under a concrete bridge, while the other one (right side) is inside a train cart.
Although at night only a few Freakers will spawn when these nests are set on fire, you should be careful in this area because there are 2 Breakers roaming around.

Fairly easy to find, the fourth Days Gone Infestation Nest is in another trailer on top of a hill, north from the previous two.
From this location, you should expect at least 5 Freakers to come out when you throw a Molotov Cocktail inside the Nest.

The fifth and final Nest you’ll have to destroy to clear the infestation is located between two rocks, by the train tracks, east from the fourth on our map.
At night only 4 Freakers will come out when you burn it.
After you clear the area grab the Nest Residue inside, then the Infestation is complete.
