“The American Badger can be found across the more arid climates of America. It is a fossorial carnivore, preying on squirrels, moles, prairie dogs, and voles. Using a Varmint Rifle whilst hunting should result in a clean kill. Badger claws and pelts can be used for crafting, and badger meat can be eaten.”

Hunting Tips

To get a Perfect Pelt you need to find a perfect exemplar (3 stars). Check our locations map above and search the areas while mounted. When you see one, use the Varmint Rifle with the recommended 0.22 ammo.

You don’t have to dismount and you don’t have to use the Dead Eye to aim for specific areas, but the Varmint Rifle is mandatory for a perfect quality kill.
