This resource can only be found in Muspelheim. You will need to get the cipher fragments and complete the travel rune in order to travel to Muspelheim.

Use the realm travel room in the middle of the Lake of the Nine similar to how you travel to other realms in the game.

You can find the cipher fragments off the beaten path inside silver chests that have skulls on them.

If you explore enough, you can get to Muspelheim pretty early on in the game but the area is very challenging.

We recommend taking your time to level up, unlock skills and get better gear before heading over there. Level 6 is recommended for Kratos.

Muspelheim is a tower with trials. There are 5 levels. Each has a normal trial and a hard one. You will need to complete all the trials to get to the Valkyrie at the top.

Once you beat the Valkyrie the difficulty will be reset and you can do the trails at the impossible difficulty.

You can then try to beat the trials at the hardest difficulty in order to farm Greater Crest Of Flame.

Once you have beaten 3 out f the 5 trials, you can attempt the final boss at the end. You can repeat this process to upgrade your gear with the Greater Crest Of Flame that you earn.

This is how you can get Greater Crest Of Flame in God of War. If you are interested in learning more about the game then you can check out our guide on how you can get Pristine Ore.
