Going Medieval Burying Bodies Guide: How And Why To Do It

Going Medieval Burying Bodies

Going Medieval has a raid mode that allows raids to attack your colony. This raid can cause the death of some of your villagers or the death of the raiders if you successfully kill them. However, after the raid ends, the dead bodies will remain wherever you killed the raiders, or the raiders killed the villagers. This is a matter that needs to be resolved at the earliest as it has great consequences. This guide will include all the details on how burying bodies works in Going Medieval and why you should do it.

How to Bury Bodies in Going Medieval

You can dispose of bodies by either burying them, eating them, or using a pyre. If you want to bury the bodies, then you will have to make a grave. To do this, you have to go to the Misc Menu. First, find an area that is isolated from the rest of your colony.

You also need to make sure that the area should be large, as you will dispose of bodies multiple times throughout the game. After this, go back to the dead body and remove the forbidden status from it so that you can move the body. Next, you can select a villager to bury the body at a designated location. The villager will prioritize this task over whatever they were doing.

The secondary way is to eat the dead bodies. You can change a villager’s meal type to feed them the dead bodies. This will resort to cannibalism and is not ideal for your colony. The third way is to build a pyre and select the body that needs to be burned. You can select multiple bodies at once that you want to burn on the pyre.

Why bury bodies?

If a dead body is left unattended, any villager who sees it will have a negative amplifier in their mood. This will increase every time they see it. Furthermore, if the dead body is of a villager and someone they know, that increases the amplifier even more. Therefore, you need to bury the bodies as soon as possible, or the penalty will keep on increasing.
