This eliminated players that are going to get sniped from across the map by more experienced players and makes things a bit more interesting. You get a rank point for getting a kill but you can only get a maximum of 5 points from kills. You get 2 rank points for making it to the top 10, 4 rank points for getting into the top 5, 7 rank points for getting into the top 3 and 12 rank points for winning.

Apex Legends Ranked Mode Tips

The following are some tips that are going to help you in the rank mode of Apex Legends:

Play with a team

Playing with a team that you are familiar with is going to be very important. This might seem obvious but playing with random people is not going to get you out of bronze any time soon. It is better to play with friends that you know are good at the game.

Having a team that works is going to help you figure out the composition of your team as well. You will know who shines at what and where someone needs help. Communication is going to be way more comfortable and clear.

Communicating With Random Players

While having a complete team is ideal, there are times when you need another person or you are playing solo. If that is the case then communication is going to be key. Communicate with the random players. While the ping system in Apex Legends is great, you can convey more information over a mic. This could be the difference between a win or a loss.

Get A Pathfinder Or Be One Yourself

Find someone that is a great Pathfinder or you could be the one that players Pathfinder. While every Legend has its own unique abilities, Pathfinder’s zipline and grappling hook are the most useful from a tactical point of view. You will be able to reach critical locations if you have Pathfinder on your team. This could give you a strategic advantage over other teams if you play your cards right.

Drop Quietly And Stay Safe

In ranked mode, players are going to be very aggressive and are going to try and take you out as soon as possible. Plus you are up against players that match your skill, which does not make things any easier. This means that you cannot leave things up to chance.

Any hot zones should be avoided at the start of the game. Remember that you are playing with odds here. The safer you are the higher chance you have of making it to the end of the round.

Fight Or Flight?

Remember that you cannot get more than 5 rank points from kills. So getting into fights is not the aim of the game in ranked mode. While it is fun, you should be aiming for lasting as long as possible. Making it to the top in terms of survival is going to get you more rank points.

Resist the urge to fight every squad that you encounter and you will find yourself rising the ranks much faster.

Keeping A Sniper Can Come In Handy

Snipers were not great when the game first came out but much has changed since then. You can use snipers to locate and damage enemies from a distance. These can also be used to pin enemies down while the rest of your team flanks.

The Third Party

Being the third party is an ideal situation in the game but the end result comes down to timing. When do you attack? You should attack when one of the teams has won the fight. This means that the winning team will be wounded and as it just got out of a fight, it will be taken by surprise. Take advantage of the low health and shields and get some quick kills.

Repositioning Is Key

If you fired first then the enemy has eyes on you. It is important to get out of sight and reposition. Always try to flank the enemy. Reposition and try to get the upper hand. Even a single teammate with a proper flanking position can change the outcome of the battle. So keep that in mind and practice repositioning.
