Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Crimson Hunter Mask Location

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Crimson Mask is one of the 12 Hidden Hunter Masks featured in the video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft for PS4Xbox One, and PC.

Unlike the Wraith Mask, the Crimson Mask requires your presence in the Downtown East area; which is the same zone where you found the Demon Mask.

Here you’ll have to lure a Division 2 Hunter, who will drop this specific and unique item. Here is how to make him spawn and how to defeat him.

Division 2 Crimson Mask Hunter Location

As you can see on the map below, the Crimson Hunter is located on the eastern side of Downtown East.

More precisely, you should look for him inside Denys R. Crompton Center for Portrait Art.

This building is located east of MLK Memorial Library Control Point and south from G ST NW street where the entrance to District Union Arena Stronghold can be found.

Now, that you know where to find the Crimson Mask in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, make sure that before moving to his area, you take over the MLK Memorial Library Control Point.

It is imperative to do so if you wish to kill this Division 2 Hunter alone.

Requirements

What sets this Division 2 hidden boss aside from the rest, is the fact that you can make him appear during the day.

Yes, this one doesn’t have a specific time when you can make him spawn; so feel free to check the building whenever you feel ready for a real challenge.

When you get inside the building, strategically investigate all four wings, as this is a great spot to farm a lot of Crafting Materials.

Puzzle Solution

To make the Crimson Hunter appear, head to the southern wing of the building. On your map, this wing is the one closest to F ST NW.

While in the lobby you should see a central desk with a phone on it (pictured below).

The Division 2 Crimson Mask PuzzleInteract with the phone, then head north, cross the inner courtyard and in the northern wing, you will see another desk with a phone almost identical to the first one.

While most claim that you have to interact with a computer, it’s totally false. There are 2 phones and you’ll basically use one to call, and the other one to answer.

The trick here is to make haste and sprint from one phone to another. If you can’t interact with the second phone, return to the first one and ring again.

Once you answer the second phone, the Crimson Hunter will spawn in the nearby courtyard.

Killing the Crimson Mask Hunter

Again, this boss is intended for groups; however, you can definitely take him while playing solo.

As you’ll notice your gadgets won’t be too effective against him, and he’ll disable all of them. Additionally, he’ll use a vast arsenal of drones on you, and he’ll constantly heal himself.

Without panicking, exit the building the moment you make the Hunter spawn and start moving towards the Control Point mentioned above.

Your goal is to kite him to that location, where you can keep him busy.

In other words, use the civilians at the Control Point as targets for the Hunter. This strategy works perfectly if you struggle with this boss; especially because he is a Hunter and he will hunt (follow) you.

Once you kill the Hunter loot the Crimson Mask. If you wish to equip it, open your Inventory, then access the Apparel tab.

Now check the Masks section in the upper right corner.

Along with the Crimson Mask, you’ll also get an Ivory Key from this Hunter.

The Division 2 Ivory Key can be used to open a weapon box (see below) at the White House. This box is located in the same room as the Barber.
