Red Dead Redemption II: Legendary Fox Hunting Guide

RDR2 Legendary Fox

Once you hunt the Legendary Buck, it’s time to find the Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Fox if you wish to craft the Legendary Buck and Fox Range Gloves.

Unlike the Buck or the Boar, the Legendary Fox in Red Dead Redemption II is sneakier and faster, thus you will need to use a repeater and Arthur’s Dead Eye skill to make sure you successfully kill it in one try.

This Legendary Animal can be hunted starting Chapter 2, as there are no specific requirements. So, why not travel north of Rhodes to find it?

Several broken sticks will appear nearby. Inspect them too then move deeper into the woods following the glowing yellow track. Soon you should be able to find some fur near another tree.

Several steps away, in the forest you should be able to spot the white RDR2 Fox.

Depending on your weapon this might be a tricky hunt, because you need to put the animal down as soon as you see it, otherwise you will spook it.

Try to shoot it at least three times to make sure you won’t need to find it again. If you use a rifle, the Dead Eye skill is mandatory.

If the fox runs, try to pick up the trail again, as it won’t leave the hunting area.

Once you manage to kill this unique fox in Red Dead Redemption 2, skin it and head to a Fence.

Craftable Items:

Using the Legendary Fox Claw, craft the Fox Claw Trinket to permanently increase the time that Eagle Eye can stay active by 5 seconds.
