Description:

” The Legendary Buck is endemic to Big Valley in West Elizabeth. Its light brown and white short hair makes this buck distinguishable to other bucks. As a herbivore, it consumes nuts, buds, twigs, and green plants. A rifle or a Bow with Poison Arrows are considered to be the best weapons to hunt this animal. Killing the animal will give you the opportunity to craft a rare trinket.”

Legendary Buck Location:

  • Black Bone Forest (NW of Strawbery)

Recommended Weapon & Ammo:

  • Springfield Rifle
  • Regular Ammo

Hunting & Tracking Guide:

Ride to the area marked on our map above in order to look for the Legendary Buck.

The first clue you can find is some fur near two tree stumps. Inspect the fur, then focus on the animal’s track.

Dung Location

Move east and several steps away you can find some dung.

Follow the track north, then cross the path in the forest and you will find another dung next to a rather tall dead tree and a tree stump.

Now, slowly move east to spot the animal in the forest. Align your weapon and aim for the head.

Aim for the buck’s head

Using our RDR2 recommended weapon you will need two shots to put the animal down.

Skin the animal to get the buck’s pelt and antler, and then take the carcass to the Trapper west from your current location.

Craftable Items:

The pelt can be used to craft the following item at the Trapper:

The Legendary Buck Vest

  • Legendary Buck Pelt x1
  • Perfect Ram Hide x1
  • $26

The Legendary Buck and Fox Range Gloves

The antler is used to craft the Buck Antler Trinket at the Fence. The Red Dead Redemption 2 Buck Antler Trinket allows you to get higher quality skinned animal parts.
