The Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Elk is another unique animal you can hunt early in the video game if you wish to craft a unique trinket from its antlers.

The Legendary White Elk in RDR2 is located east of Bachus Station, very close to the area where you find the Legendary Wolf.

To hunt this Legendary Animal; however, first you need to reach Chapter 2, and second, you have to buy a long range rifle or bow.

Description:

“The Legendary Elk is endemic to Cumberland Forest. The distinguishable white hair and shaggy mane make this elk different to other elks in the region. It is also one of the 16 legendary animals in the entirety of RDR2. Its herbivore diet includes grasses, leaves, bark, and plants. Elks are easily startled so it is advised to keep as much distance as possible whilst hunting. Long range weapons like a Bow with Improved Arrows, or a long scope rifle, are considered to be the best for hunting. Killing this animal will give you the opportunity to craft a rare trinket.”

Hunting & Tracking Guide:

Before pursuing a legendary animal, you must understand that these creatures do not just appear out of nowhere. Yes, You must track their every move just so you can kill them.

You can find the Legendary Elk east of Bachus Station, as marked on our map. When you get there, start looking for the elk’s tracks.

You should see some dung on the small hill overlooking the station, as in the picture below.

Several steps away to the east is some tree rub.

Once you inspect the second track, move east towards the mountain, to find some fur.

After you find the third track, check the area south from your current position to find the RDR2 Legendary Elk in the forest.

Being quite large, this animal might require 3 headshots. The Dead Eye is quite important here, so make use of it.

If you spook the Legendary Elk, remain in the area and continue to track the animal, as it will not leave the hunting ground.

Craftable Items:

You can use the pelt of the unique elk to craft the following garments at the Trapper. The trapper to assist you with this craft would be located on the eastern side of Saint-Denis doing his usual biddings, just ready for you to take it all.

Furthermore, using the elk’s antlers you can craft the Elk Antler Trinket, which increases the amount of money you loot by 10%. To craft the trinket, after you kill the Elk, make sure you visit the Fence.

Now the location of the fences is not as limited as you may think given that they can be found all over the map. Therefore, we’ve got you covered, Here are all the locations of the fences that you’ll uncover in the game.

At first, We have the south of Emerald Ranch, and then shortly after we have the northern side of Rhodes, and right after we have the Eastern edge of Saint-Denis, and of course the eastern side of Van Horn Trading Post.

Only through these locations would you be able to find the fence of your desire that’s going to craft you the perfect Elk Antler Trinket.
