Red Dead Redemption II: Iguana Scale Trinket Crafting Guide

Alongside the Owl Feather Trinket, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Iguana Scale Trinket, is one of the two special trinkets you can acquire in Rockstar Studios‘ latest video game.

However, while the Owl Feather Trinket is a hidden piece of jewelry, the Iguana Scale Trinket is an exclusive item.

In fact, the Iguana Scale Trinket in Red Dead Redemption 2, is very similar to the Eagle Talon Talisman which is also a video game exclusive item.

Therefore, you can only get the RDR2 Iguana Scale Trinket if you own the Special or the Ultimate Edition of the video game.

Assuming you own the said versions of Red Dead Redemption 2; then you already are the owner of the Iguana Scale Trinket.

It’s worth mentioning that this trinket won’t appear in your inventory until you reach Chapter 2 of the video game. As soon as you arrive at Horseshoe Overlook, check your satchel by pressing and holding right on your D-Pad.

Next, scroll to the Kit Tab, and you should notice the item in your inventory. Its icon is identical to the one above.

How to Use the Iguana Scale Trinket:

Because it’s similar to the Eagle Talon Talisman, this trinket can be confusing; simply because the Eagle Talon must be equipped at the wardrobe in order to activate its bonus.

Thus, many Red Dead Redemption 2 fans asked the same question: How do you equip the Iguana Scale Trinket?

The answer to this question is simple. You don’t, because this item is a trinket and as all RDR2 Trinkets, you only have to keep it in your inventory to activate it.

If you are one of the owners of this trinket, then you will notice that once you unlock it, the damage you receive while on a horse is slightly reduced. In other words when on horseback, you’ll take 10% less damage.
