Red Dead Redemption II: Wild Boar Hunting Guide

RDR2 Wild BoarThe Red Dead Redemption 2 Wild Boar is a large-sized animal you can hunt very early in the video game developed by Rockstar Studios for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

A large number of RDR2 Boars can be found in the swamps of Lemoyne, just north of Saint-Denis; but, you can also find Wild Boars in other areas marked on our map below.

The Wild Boar in Red Dead Redemption II has three variations. First, we have the Common Boar, we discuss in the following guide.

Next, there is a legendary specimen which is also covered by our RDR2 Wiki. Last but not least, while playing The Veteran Stranger Mission, you have the chance to hunt a Giant Boar.

This specific animal; however, is unique and it’s not required for the Zoologist and Skin Deep achievements.

Description

“Wild Boars can be found across the states of New Hanover, Lemoyne, and West Elizabeth. They are omnivores, preying on amphibians, reptiles, insects, worms, and smaller mammals. They also eat roots and fruit. Using either a rifle or a Bow with Poison Arrows is the easiest way to take down an animal of this size. A boar’s tender pork can be eaten, and their fat and tusks can be used to craft with.”
