Red Dead Redemption II: All Dreamcatchers Locations Guide

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Dreamcatchers are hidden collectibles that count towards Total Completion, but unlike other collectibles, they aren’t part of any mission.

Nobody will tell you about their existence and nobody will mention them. This, however, doesn’t mean they don’t matter. In fact, they are very important and you should focus on finding them the moment you start Chapter 2 of the video game.

RDR2 features 20 Dreamcatchers you can collect while exploring the world, and our guide below reveals all of them. Additionally, we explain how to solve the puzzle triggered once you find all RDR2 Dreamcatchers, and how to collect the hidden reward.

Assuming you have reached Chapter 2 in the game, it’s time to find all Dreamcatchers. In order to help you identify them, here is a picture of a Dreamcatcher in Red Dead Redemption 2, so you can get a better idea on what you are looking for.

To make the process a little easier, keep in mind these 5 tips that should help you while looking for these collectibles.

  • When you are close to a Dreamcatcher, your controller will shake.
  • They can be easily found by activating Arthur’s Eagle Eye. When this skill is activated you should see a yellow glowing area surrounding the Dream Catcher.
  • Most Dream Catchers in Red Dead Redemption 2 are found in dead trees, usually at crossroads.
  • When you are close to a Dreamcatcher, approach it and inspect the collectible.
  • Most of the times, you don’t even have to dismount to inspect a Dreamcatcher.

After you collect all Dreamcatchers in Red Dead Redemption 2, your journal will automatically update and a drawing appears. It is just like the one below.

RDR2 All Dreamcatchers Reward Location

The location of your reward for finding all Dreamcatchers

But, what’s up with that? Well, the image depicts a hidden location which is right behind the waterfall at Elysian Pond. Notice the X which is not connected to the others.

Let’s go claim this treasure, Arthur!

Ride to the location marked on our map with Reward. Make sure you grab your lantern from your horse, cowboy! You need a lot of light inside.

Now, head through the waterfall to discover a hidden cave. It’s the same cave where you have found Lock Box 32! But this time Arthur, you will have to reach the largest room. It’s the one in the middle.

Open your map and hug the left wall when you enter the cave. Stick to it until you are inside the middle chamber.

Now, on your right side, is an upper wall where you should see a cave painting. Notice the picture below, where we focus on it.
