Horizon Zero Dawn Watcher Guide: How To Kill

Horizon Zero Dawn Watcher

The Watcher is one of the first machines that you are going to encounter in Horizon Zero Dawn. As their name implies, they are kind of scouting units. They will be looking out for you and if they detect you they will communicate your presence and location to other machines nearby. In this Horizon Zero Dawn guide, we are going to go over how you can defeat a Watcher.

How To Kill Watcher In Horizon Zero Dawn

The Watcher in HZD has a couple of moves that you need to look out for. It can use a flash attack to blind you. While this does blind humans it does not affect machines. If you have hacked a machine then it will not be affected but Alloy on the other hand will not be able to see for a few seconds.

The Watcher is also going to jump at you and try to attack you. You can jump out of the way or dodge in order to avoid damage. Taking down the Watcher is particularly easy. You can hide in the tall grass and use the silent strike ability to take it out instantly. You can lure the enemy towards you by whistling or you can divert its attention to where you want by throwing a rock.

You will note that the Watcher has a huge glowing eye. This also happens to be a weak point. You can shoot an arrow into the eye in order to do huge amounts of damage. An accurate arrow is going to take out the Watcher in a single strike.

This is how you can kill a Watcher in Horizon Zero Dawn. If you are interested in learning more about the game then you can check out our HZD tips and tricks guide to learn some pointers before heading into the game.
