Horizon Zero Dawn Snapmaw Guide: How To Kill

Horizon Zero Dawn Snapmaw

The Snapmaw is one of the machines that you will encounter in the world of Horizon Zero Dawn. These machines are like crocodiles and can be very deadly if you do not know how to take them down. In this Horizon Zero Dawn guide, we are going to go over how you can kill a Snapmaw.

How To Kill A Snapmaw in Horizon Zero Dawn

The Snapmaw is strong against Freeze so you do not want to use these kinds of weapons but it is weak towards Fire, so use weapons and ammo that deal fire damage. The Snapmaw is the weakest in the eyes. Shoot the eyes in order to deal the most amount of damage.

You can also shoot the Blaze Canisters that it has with Fire arrows or Tear arrows. Fire arrows will make them explode while tear arrows will take them off so that you can collect them. The Snapmaw also has a Freeze Sack under it. You can use any kind of arrows to deal damage to it. Once you destroy it, there is going to be an explosion and anyone in the area will be freezer for a certain time.

Other than that, you can shoot the body with fire ammo in order to deal damage. This is not the most efficient way of dealing damage but you can still do that.

The Snapmaw has a couple of attacks that it can use against you. It can shoot Freeze projectiles at you and lunge towards you in order to try and bite you. It can also use its jaws to snap at you. If you find yourself behind the Snapmaw then it can try and attack you with its tail. It can even do a spinning attack with its tail.

This is what you need to know about killing a Snapmaw in Horizon Zero Dawn. If you are interested in learning more about the game then you can check out our guide on how you kill a Ravager.
