Deathbringer is one of the first major machines that are going to be a proper challenge in Horizon Zero Dawn. This huge machine can be overwhelming as it has a lot of weapons and a lot of firepower. When you first encounter a Deathbringer as part of the main storyline it will be stuck in place and will not move around so it is a bit easier to kill. Later on, they will be able to move around so they will become more of a challenge.
How To Kill A Deathbringer In Horizon Zero Dawn
Parts of the Deathbringer are weak to fire and shock. So you should fire and shock arrows or other weapons that do these kinds of elemental damage. The Machine is strong against corruption so avoid using that elemental damage type.
Before anything else, you shoot at the cannon turret in order to take it out. You can use tear arrows in order to take it out quickly. This is going to make the encounter much easier as the Deathbringer will not be able to use the turret against you. Another weapon that you can disable is the flame thrower. The Deathbringer also has a grenade launcher which you can shoot at in order to disable.
When the Deathbringer is overheating, you will see the cooling rods pop up. These are weak points that you can shoot at in order to deal significant damage. These are weak to pretty much anything so you do not have to change the ammo type that you are using.

They are weak to all kinds of different elemental damage types so you can quickly shoot at them without having to change your ammo type.
On its sides, the machine has guns. You can shoot at them to remove them and deal damage in the process. The gun is weak to tear damage so be sure to use tear ammo. When the gun has been removed, you can pick it up and deal damage to the Deathbringer in Horizon Zero Dawn.
The machine has multiple stabilizers on it which are weakpoints. Use your focus to locate them and then shoot at them to deal significant amounts of damage. They are weak to all kinds of different elemental damage types so you can quickly shoot at them without having to change your ammo type.
Another weapon that the machine can use against you is the Swarm Launcher. Shoot at the weapon with tear arrows in order to disable it. You can also shoot at the Heavy Cannon Turret to disable it.
