Horizon Zero Dawn Corruptor Guide: How To Kill

Horizon Zero Dawn Corruptor

The Corruptor is one of the more difficult machines that you will encounter early on in the game. Dealing with the machine can get a bit tricky as it tends to move around and has different attacks. It can also corrupt different machines around it and turn them against you. In this Horizon Zero Dawn guide, we are going to go over how you can kill a Corruptor.

How To Kill A Corruptor In Horizon Zero Dawn

The body of the Corruptor is weak against Fire and strong against Corruption. So we recommend using fire arrows when shooting at its body. You should use your focus to scan the machine in order to highlight the weak spots that it has.

You can shoot at the Grenade Launcher with Tear arrows in order to disable it. This will keep the Corruptor from firing grenades at you. You can also shoot the Spike Launcher with Tear arrows in order to disable the Spike attack that it can use from a  distance.

Other than that the Corruptor has a Heat Core which is going to pop up when the machine is overheated. It is weak against all kinds of elemental attacks and has no strength so shoot at it with your best weapon in order to deal the most damage and take out the machine as quickly as possible.

Even when the weapons disabled the Corruptor can still jump on top of you, throw rocks at you and use its tail to attack you. When you see it jump into the air, dodge tot the side so that you can avoid the impact when it lands. Keep an eye out for its tail as it can use it to attack you. It is a pretty quick move and you will need to time it properly in order to avoid damage.
