The following are some tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing Halo Infinite multiplayer:
Check Out The Academy
Heading right into a multiplayer match might be tempting but we recommend checking out the Academy, especially if you are new to the game. This is going to give you the ins and outs of the game including basics and tutorials. If you have played the previous games then most of the content is going to be familiar but there are some small new things that might interest you.
Use Equipment
Equipment can be picked up and used to your advantage. Tools like the grappling hook can help you get to strategic positions and pull weapons towards you. Other tech such as the Repulsor can be used to protect you from incoming projectiles and even vehicles. You can learn more about that in our equipment guide.
Use The AI Scanner
Use the Z button on PC or the bottom button on the D-pad on the Xbox controller in order to use the AI scanner. This is going to show you things around you. It can identify vehicles and weapons. If you need a weapon and don’t know where to find one then this is a great way of finding one quickly. It is not going to pin-point enemies though, you are going to need the threat detector for that.
Sparkling Enemies Do Not Have Shields
Enemies that have a broken shield look like they have a static charge. If you see that then this is the target that you should prioritize. Shooting them with a kinetic weapon is going to take them out in a single shot.
You Can Hook Pretty Much Anything
You can hook pretty much anything in the game. This includes enemies, vehicles, weapons and other objects. If you need to get up close and personal to the enemy then you can hook them and you will be hooked close to the target.
If you need to hijack a vehicle then you can hook a vehicle in order to get close to it and take it for a spin. You can even hook weapons in order to bring them closer to you. If you need a weapon and an enemy is running to get it them you can hook the weapon to get it before the enemy can get hands-on it.
You Can Use The Overshield At Any Time
You do not have to use the over shield when you pick it up. You can use it at any time and you should save it for when you are backed up in a corner or are taking damage. This is going to make you “invincible” for a short time.
Shoot The Mid Section To Destroy The Drop Shield
While the drop shield does not absorb a lot of damage, you can destroy it by shooting the middle section. Remember this to take down shields and defeat enemies trying to defend themselves as fast as possible.
