Elden Ring Tips

Elden Ring is out now and there is a lot of content in the game. You are not told everything that you need to know and skipping important things can happen. If you are new to this genre or to the game then there are a couple of things that you can keep in mind that will help you out. In this Elden Ring guide, we are going to go over some tips and tricks that should help you out.

Elden Ring Tips And Tricks

The following are the tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing Elden Ring:

Get The Crafting Kit

Once you have completed the tutorial, you will have access to the open world. Head over to the merchant in the church of elleh and buy the crafting kit from him. This is north of the starting area so you can do this pretty early on. The kit is going to cost you 300 runes.

The crafting kit allows you to craft plenty of different items including buffs that you will need on your adventure and that is why you should not miss this.

Explore Limgrave Before Proceeding Further

The open world of Elden Ring is massive and there is plenty to explore. We recommend exploring everything in Limgrave before heading out to different areas of the game in order to maximize loot. This will allow you to get some practice, level up, and get power-ups before you encounter more challenging enemies.

Running Away Is Always An Option

Elden Ring Tips

As you explore the world, you will encounter enemies and bosses. Some are more powerful than others. While you might be tempted to take on all the enemies that you encounter, know that some of them are not meant to be fought early on. Running away is always an option. You can go back to defeat other enemies, level up, and get better gear before coming back and trying again. The Tree Sentinel is a perfect example of an enemy that you should avoid fighting early on.

Summon Spirits When Possible

Summoning spirits is a great way of making boss battles a bit easier. While spirits do not deal a lot of damage even when you level them up, they can take a lot of damage and can keep the focus of the boss off of you. Keeping you safe and allowing you to attack bosses.

There are plenty of different spirits that you can summon and they behave differently. We recommend finding one that matches the use case or one that matches the way you play the game.

To be able to summon spirits you need to visit the church of elleh at night and rest there. Once you do that you will encounter an NPC that will give you the bell that enables you to summon spirits. You cannot summon spirits everywhere. If you see an archway symbol on the left side of your screen then that means that you can summon a spirit.

Enemies With Golden Eyes Drop Extra Runes

As you explore the world and progress the game, you will encounter enemies that have golden glowing eyes. These enemies drop extra runes. They are not going to deal more damage than other enemies nor are they going to be more challenging to beat. So they are worth taking down.

The Lower The Equipment Load The Faster Your Dodge

The speed of your dodge depends on your equipment load. If this is low then you can dodge quickly. If you have a medium equipment load then your dodge is going to be slower. If your equipment load is very high then your dodge is going to be very slow. Similarly, if your load exceeds the maximum amount then you will not be able to dodge at all. Keeping your load low can be very advantageous.

Upgrade Your Reusable Flask

Elden Ring Tips

The flask that you get comes in handy and you can upgrade it to increase its charges and potency. You will need golden seeds to increase the number of charges of the flask before it needs to be refilled. You can get these from small trees that have a golden glow. Sacred tears are needed to increases the potency of the flask. These can be found inside churches that you will find as you explore the world of Elden Ring.

Stealth Is Fun And Effective

While crouched, you can sneak up on an enemy and initiate a backstab that does a lot of damage. If the enemy dies and there is no enemy nearby then you can continue assassinating enemies without drawing any attention to yourself. You need to do this from behind the enemy otherwise you will be detected and enemies will attack you. If you have the patience, if you are detected, you can run away and come back after some time to maintain your stealth.

These are the tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing Elden Ring.
