Apart from fighting bosses in the game, you can complete NPC quests in order to get rewards and unlock new areas in Elden Ring. Following the questline of Rya is a quick way of getting to Volcano Manor. In this Elden Ring guide, we are going to walk you through how you can complete the questline for Rya.
Rya Questline Steps In Elden Ring
You can find Rya in Liurnia of the Lakes. She will be right of the telescope that you can find on the map. Head to the location and talk to her in order to start the questline.
She will tell you about an item that she needs to get. In order to get it, you need to head over to the Boilprawn Shack that you can find nearby. Talk to the NPC sitting outside the shack and he will tell you that he has said item.
You can get the item by buying it from the NPC it killing him and then looting it from his body. Buying the item is going to cost 1000 Runes which can be a lot depending on how far along you are in the game. We do not recommend killing the NPC as he does have a questline of his own that you can complete.
Once you have the item, take it back to Rya and she will give you an invitation to the Volcano Manor. Once you have it, you need to progress the game until you reach Altus Plateau. Once you have access to this area of the game, you can find Rya in the Lux Ruins.
Talk to Rya and you will be taken to the Volcano Manor. Here you need to talk to Tanith and complete the first part of her quest. Once you do that she is going to move into another room and take on the form of a snake.
Talk to her in this form in order to progress the questline. Do note that if you complete the three missions that Tanith gives you then the remaining part of Rya’s questline will no longer be available. All NPCs will leave the Volcano Manor once you have defeated the boss in this area.
Talk to Rya and she will tell you about a secret passage. Head into the room on the right and pass through the illusionary wall. You will be able to reach the Prison Town Church site of grace. Once done, you need to head over to Zoraya and tell her about what you have seen.
An optional part of this quest is that you can tell Tanith about Zoraya’s troubles. To progress further you need to beat the Godskin Noble boss in Temple of Eiglay. This will get you the Serpent’s Amnion. Take this back to Zoraya.
You can talk to Tanith and tell her about Zoraya’s absence in order to get the Tonic of Forgetfulness. You can give this to Zoraya. She will move to the Legacy Dungeon’s interior.
Once you talk to her she will ask you to kill her. If you do as she says then she will turn into a snake and you will get the Daedicar’s Woe. If you decide not to kill her then you can kill Rykard and come back to get the Daedicar’s Woe and a letter. If you give her the Tonic of Forgetfulness then she will go to sleep.
