The successor of the Breath can be found in the Ridge of Frozen Souls in Code Vein. An alternate version of the boss can also be found in Depths: Silent White. How To Beat The Successor Of The Breath In Code Vein
Before we get into the boss battle, note that the boss can be poisoned, stunned, slowed and inhibited. The successor of the Breath is weak to fire and heavily resistant to ice. Merciless Reaper can increase damage significantly.
You can use dark gifts in this fight as some of the moves of the boss are hard to dodge. The following are all the different moves that the Successor of the Breath can use against you and how you can dodge them.
Shield Leap
The boss will leap and try to hit you with his shield. After he lands, he will do a spinning attack. You can dodge backward twice and then attack the boss.
Two Hit Combo
The boss will hit you with his left arm and then follow up with a shield attack. You can dodge backward twice and then use ranged attacks or abilities.
Shield Charge
The Successor of the Breath will charge at you with his shield. You can dodge left or right in order to avoid getting damage but this is a very quick attack so you will need to be fast.
Ice Strike
The boss will hit his head into the ground and summon ice shards. You can dodge to either side and then attack the boss.
Shield Slam
The boss will slam his shield and do a spinning move. You can dodge backward twice and then attack the boss.
In the second phase of the fight, the boss is going to get a bit more aggressive but the strategy, in general, is going to remain the same. The boss can use the moves that we have mentioned above. The new moves that he can use in the second phase of the fight are as follows:
Sword Attack
The boss is going to summon a sword and will attack you from the right. You can roll to either side when you see the attack coming and then land a few hits of your own if you find yourself positioned behind the boss.
Charge Attack
The boss will charge towards you. You can dodge to either side in order to avoid getting damaged.
Three Hit Combo
The boss is going to try and hit you with his fists three times. You need to dodge backward in order to avoid getting damaged.
