Apex Legends Crypto Guide: Abilities, Tips, Tricks

Apex Legends Crypto

Crypto is the new Legend introduced in the third season of Apex Legends. He can use drones in the arena and is great for recon. In this Apex Legends guide, we are going to go over Crypto, his abilities and give you tips and tricks regarding how you can play him.

Apex Legends Crypto

Crypto is a fresh new character and so are his abilities. He is unlike any character that we have seen in the game. Crypto opens up new ways of playing Apex Legends. The following is what you need to know about the character.

Abilities

His passive ability is Neurolink. This allows Crypto to see whatever his drone detects up to 30 meters. The information is also passed on to the rest of the team. Without this ability, the drone would not be half as useful. This is ideal for situational awareness and recon.

His tactical ability is Surveillance Drone. This sends out a drone that can fly and has a camera. This can be used to scout and ping enemies in the area. If the drone is destroyed you can send out another on after 40 seconds.

His ultimate ability is Drome EMP. This sends out an EMP blast that does 50 shield damage, slows players and destroys traps. The EMP travels pretty far and recharges fairly quickly. This makes it ideal for offensive use.

Tips And Strategy

With Crypto, it is all about planning and thinking ahead. When he is fighting, he is just like any other Legend in the game but he has the upper hand when it comes to recon and scouting. Use his abilities to plan the best initiation and attack the enemy when least expected.

With Crypto, you not only need to learn to play the Legend but the drone as well. The drone does take some getting used to as you need to pilot it properly. Be careful and try to avoid getting the drone shot. You should use the drone to find out as much as you can about the location and status of the enemy.

As you are playing the scout you need to communicate things to your team. The drone will send highlights of enemy positions to you but you will have to ping this to the rest of the team.
