Marvel’s Avengers Developer Approach Is Similar To Tomb Raider Reboot

Marvel's Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers is one of the games that has been getting a lot of attention lately. The developers have been talking about the game. Studio Head Scot Amos recently mentioned that the developers have an approach that is similar to what Crystal Dynamics had in mind when making the Tomb Raider Reboot.

The developer for both the games is the same so the bar is set very high. Lara Croft is an iconic character and so are the Avengers. At times it can be tricky to create something unique with such defined and iconic characters. Then again that is the challenge here. Here is what Amos had to say about Marvel’s Avengers being similar to the Tomb Raider reboot:

We stake our reputation on it. Just like we approached Lara Croft back in 2013, we want to show the world how we do things in a new and original way.

The Tomb Raider reboot did turn out to be great and the two games after that were very good too. Crystal Dynamics might be able to do something similar with Marvel’s Avengers and I am sure that the fans want the developer to do just that. When the Tomb Raider reboot came out it was compared to Uncharted and it is safe to assume that when Marvel’s Avengers comes out, it will be compared to Marvel’s Spider-Man. That will be a very interesting comparison for sure.

Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America have been confirmed for the base game and Amos has confirmed that DLC characters will be added afterward. He also mentioned that they will not feel like reskins and will be unique. That is how it should be and we are still waiting to see who these characters are. The game is not coming out any time soon so we are going to have to wait a while.

Let us know what you think about Marvel’s Avengers and whether or not you are interested in playing the game when it releases on May 15, 2020, for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia.
