After a successful Kickstarter campaign last year, Pathfinder: Kingmaker is complete. Developed by Owlcat Games for PC, the isometric RPG based on Paizo’s Pathfinder franchise is published by Deep Silver.
The studio’s partnership with Deep Silver was announced by Oleg Shpilchevsky of Owlcat:
“We have ambitious plans for Pathfinder: Kingmaker. We want to reach out to the maximum number of players across the globe; making our brand easily accessible, maintaining quality and doing right by the fanbase. Working with Deep Silver ensures we can step up our retail marketing and benefit from the unique experience offered with Koch.”
In 2017, Pathfinder: Kingmaker had 18,351 backers who pledged $909,057 on Kickstarter. This is almost double than the amount Owlcat required to develop Pathfinder: Kingmaker.
If you missed the Pathfinder: Kingmaker Kickstarter campaign; you can buy a copy of the game on the official website.
The exact Pathfinder: Kingmaker release date was September 25, 2018; as you can see in the trailer below.
The action takes place in Stolen Lands, which is part of the River Kingdom and Golarion. Players can build and develop their own kingdoms, meet allies, as well as some old friends.
“Each kingdom will be a living thing shaped by alignment, choices, allies and the hero’s ability to lead his or her people.”
Finally, it is worth mentioning that Owlcat Games worked with Chris Avellone on this project. Chris is also involved in Techland’s latest project, Dying Light 2.
