Mortal Kombat 11 was officially announced at the Games Awards 2018, with a trailer full of blood and gore. Just as most Mortal Kombat video games developed by NetherRealm Studios.
Following this unexpected announcement, a large number of retailers listed the pre-order bonuses and the Mortal Kombat 11 Editions available at launch.
Some of these retailers are Amazon, Gamestop, and Game.co.uk; where we can see what’s included in the Standard, Premium and Kollector’s Editions of Mortal Kombat 11.
Obviously, as we get closer to the release date; which by the way is April 23, 2019; additional details on the MK11 Special Editions will surely be announced.
For now; however, let’s see where we can pre-order: Mortal Kombat 11 Standard Edition, Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition, and Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector’s Edition.
Mortal Kombat 11 Standard Edition
Mortal Kombat 11 Standard Edition is the cheapest edition as it only includes the video game. This means that if you want to get MK XI at launch, you can go ahead and pre-order it because you won’t get a better price.
Furthermore, there won’t be a version cheaper than Mortal Kombat 11 Standard Edition. The Mortal Kombat XI Standard Edition is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Amazon listed this edition for $59.99 and if you decide to buy it; you’ll unlock Shao Kahn. Gamestop also has this edition available for $59.99; while across the ocean, in the UK, GAME listed it for £49.99.
Last but not least, you’ll have guaranteed access to the Mortal Kombat 11 Closed Beta scheduled for March 2019.
Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition
Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition is more expensive, meaning that you’ll need to pay $99.99 if you decide to pre-order it.
Unfortunately, so far, Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition is available only for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
This edition also offers guaranteed access to the MK 11 Beta and Shao Kahn, and it comes with the Kombat Pack. Being a physical version, you’ll also receive a Premium Steelcase to deposit the disc.
While at this point the content of the Kombat Pack, remains unknown, from the past MK games we learned that these packs include special skins, unique content and even early access to specific fighters.
In the US, you can secure a copy from Amazon, or Gamestop where it also costs $99.99. In the UK, MK11 Premium Edition is available for £79.99 at GAME.
Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector’s Edition
For the ultimate Mortal Kombat 11 fans, NetherRealm Studios releases the limited Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector’s Edition.
Since there is a limited number of units that can be purchased, if you want to be the proud owner of an MK11 Kollector’s Edition you might want to act fast. Be advised though that this edition, besides the fact that is limited, is also quite expensive.
At Gamestop, you can preorder one for $299.99 (US); and at GAME you can get it for £279.99. Not cheap, right?
However, because it’s very limited, you’ll receive a Certificate of Authenticity. This edition also includes an Exclusive Steelcase and Magnet, a Kollector Box and a 1:1 Scale Scorpion Mask.
Obviously for this price you’ll have access to all Kombat Packs and Exclusive DLC. Feast your eyes below, and see why this edition will sell like hotcakes.
