BioWare Announces the Schedule for Anthem Open Beta and VIP Demo

Just before announcing the Legion of Dawn Edition, BioWare revealed Anthem’s demo and open beta dates.

Chronologically speaking, we’ll be able to play Anthem next month; however, the first demo will not be available to everyone.

First, let’s talk about the Anthem VIP Demo as it will take place first, and it will be somehow exclusive.

Anthem VIP Demo:

The VIP Demo for Anthem will begin January 25^th and will last for two days. This means that you’ll have until January 27^th, 2019 to play, stream and share your opinions on the video game published by Electronic Arts.

The Anthem VIP Demo will be available on all platforms, but not to everyone. If you want to get in, there are several ways.

1. Sign-up to the Anthem newsletter here. You won’t have to pay anything but you’ll have to keep your fingers crossed and hope that you get picked.
2. Pre-order any of the two Anthem Editions available at this point. Anthem Standard Edition costs $59.99 at Gamestop or £49.99 at GAME (UK); while the Legion of Dawn is $79.99 at Amazon (US), and £69.99 at GAME (UK). Your pre-order comes with guaranteed access to the VIP Demo for Anthem.
3. Become an Origin Access Premier subscriber. You’ll have to pay $99.99 a year, or $14.99 a month, but there are several advantages you might want to check out on EA’s official page here. One of them is the access to the VIP Anthem Demo.

It is worth mentioning that the Anthem VIP Demo grants access to an exclusive in-game item (most likely a banner) which allows you to show others that you were one of the first to play Anthem.

Anthem Open Beta:

The Anthem Open Demo takes place between February 1^st and February 3^rd, 2019. This event is open to everyone, even if you don’t pre-order the video game.

You can access the Anthem Open Beta on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

There are no additional requirements, besides downloading the demo from your platform’s library (PS Store, Xbox Store or Origin for PC).

Anthem Early Access:

Finally, we have the Anthem Early Access which gives you the chance to play the full game before anyone else, starting February 15, 2019. To do so, however, you need to be an Origin Access or EA Access member.
