Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, the latest installment in the beloved Trine series of video games is releasing this fall.
The official announcement was made by Jordan Vincent, Brand Manager at Modus Games on playstation.blog.
While the exact release date remains unknown, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince was confirmed to release on all major platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
Developed by Frozenbyte, Trine 4 sees the return of Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight; who embark on a new quest.
This time, the three heroes must find Prince Selius and return him to the Astral Academy.
According to Jordan Vincent, the combat system in Trine 4 was revamped.
Thus you’ll be able to use your heroes’ skills “to overcome dynamic, physics-based puzzles with up to four player co-op for the first time in series history.”
If this is not enough for you; Jordan Vincent also announced that Trine 4 will be available as part of the Trine: Ultimate Collection.
It includes Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power and the new Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.
The latter addresses to gamers who didn’t have the chance to play Trine, a superb 2D action platformer set in a fantasy world full of dangers, powerful bosses and mind-twisting puzzles.
