There are quite a few things in the early game that might confuse players, but everyone soon gets used to it.
Healing
The first and one of the most aspects of the game is healing. You can heal yourself after taking damage from the enemies. There are multiple ways to heal oneself. The first is the common way to use Jelly items that will restore some of your health. You can also visit your Hideout once it is available. This will restore your health to the max. Another way is to go to any yellow-clad NPC or shopkeeper. Interacting with them will restore your health as well. Finally, you can buy health potions to use in boss fights from shops.
Weapons
As you explore the areas of Scarlet Nexus, you will come across NPCs with quests. They will have a “!” on their head so you can easily identify them. They will have either quest or side quests for you. You can acquire weapons by completing these side quests for the NPCs. So the more side quests you do, the better chance you have of acquiring good gear. Do remember that you can turn in quests through the story tab in options rather than going back to the NPC far away.
Bonding with Party Members
You can increase the bond you have with your party members by doing a lot of things. Increasing the bond will also increase your SAS powers. To increase the bonds, you can give gifts to party members, which you can find during exploration or from the Satori’s shop. As you increase your bond level, you unlock more scenes with the members. Soon you will also unlock Bond Episodes and cutscenes.
Plug-In Slots
Plug-Ins are your stats booster in the game. They increase your overall damage, armor, and much more. You can get these for your main character by leveling up or going into the Brain Map and getting slots in the skills tree. As your plug-in slots increase, the more you will scale and become powerful.
