Unlike other items you can use to boost Arthur’s stats, the Panther’s Eye Trinket in Red Dead Redemption II requires the eye of the Legendary Panther, also known as the Legendary Giaguaro Panther.
This specific beast is located southeast of Rhodes or east of Shady Belle. As a predator, it can pick your scent quite fast, and it can also kill you almost instantly.
What truly makes this Legendary Animal unique; however, is the fact that it will not spawn unless you complete rank nine in the Master Hunter Challenge. Only then you’ll be able to track, hunt and skin the Giaguaro Panther.
Regardless, obtaining the Giaguaro Panther Eye is important if you are a completionist, or if you want to get all RDR2 trinkets. The Panther’s Eye Trinket decreases the speed at which the Dead Eye meter drains by 10% for 3 seconds.
This means that Arthur’s Dead Eye will last longer, allowing him to target more enemies while using it.
Panther’s Eye Trinket Materials:
1x Legendary Panther Eye – You’ll receive it by hunting and skinning the Legendary Panther, southeast of Rhodes.
How to Craft the Panther’s Eye Trinket:
After you skin and loot the Giaguaro Panther, make sure you take the animal’s eye to the closest Fence. Obviously, you can also opt to sell its carcass to a Trapper.
At the Fence, select the Panther’s Eye Trinket from the Trinkets list and pay the shopkeeper $25 to have the item crafted.
How to Use the Panther’s Eye Trinket:
To use the Panther’s Eye Trinket in RDR2 simply keep it in your inventory to activate its bonuses. There is no need to equip it because Arthur’s Dead Eye stats are already boosted.
Although it’s quite hard to observe the changes due to the small amount of time (3 seconds), this bonus pairs very well with the one given by the Alligator Tooth Talisman.
