How To Beat Corrupt Taro In Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Once the boss encounter starts, you will notice that there is a lantern around the neck of Corrupt Taro and it starts glowing from time to time. This is a weak point that you need to target. So every time the lantern lights up you need to damage it in order to deal damage to the boss.
Taro is pretty fast but attacking the lantern will stun the boss for a few seconds. This will give you a window to heal or land a few hits. The other weak point of the boss is the right shoulder. You can use the rot on this weak spot in order to hold the boss down. You can then get up close and land some melee blows. You can also attack the shoulder with ranged attacks. Doing so is going to trigger an explosion and will deal high damage to the boss.
During the first phase of the fight, the boss is going to use its high speed. The strategy here is to drop in deal a few hits and then dodge out of the way. You will have to repeat this process in order to bring the HP of the boss down and trigger the second phase of the boss fight. The attacks of the boss are easy to dodge but timing is going to be key.
Taro does have a slam attack that he builds up by lifting up both hands. You will see it coming and this is when you need to run away as the attack does AoE damage. Be sure to get out of the way otherwise you will be hit a couple of times.
