Kena: Bridge of Spirits has plenty of bosses that you will encounter and need to beat in order to progress the game. The Corrupt Rot God boss is one of them and happens to be the final boss that you need to beat in the game. In this Kena: Bridge of Spirits guide, we are going to walk you through how you can beat the Corrupt Rot God boss.
How To Beat Corrupt Rot God In Kena: Bridge Of Spirits
The boss does not have a lot of moves for your to look out for but unfortunately, it cannot be damaged other than its weak points. All the attacks that the boss throws at you can either be dodged or blocked using your shield. The following are the different attacks that the boss can use against you and how you can avoid taking damage.
Arm Swipe
The boss will slash out with his arms. If you are caught, the boss is going to try and bear hug you. You can jump up or use your shield in order to avoid taking any damage.
Laser Beam Attack
The boss is going to fire a red laser. You can avoid taking damage by jumping or using your shield to block the beam.
Fist Slam
The boss can slam his fists into the ground producing a shockwave that is going to travel throughout the arena. A properly timed dodge is going to help you to avoid taking damage.
Ground Smash
The boss can smash the ground and produces spikes from the ground. You can move out of the way or dodge this attack in order to avoid taking damage.
Sky Laser Beam
This attack will be used in the second phase of the boss fight. The boss is going to fire lasers into the sky and meteors will fall. Each of the meteors has an impact zone and they also produce a shockwave. Keep out of the AoE in order to avoid taking damage.
Phase One
As mentioned before, the boss is going to be immune to all attacks that are not targeted at weak points. Aim for the flowing rot masses in order to deal damage. It is going to take three arrows shots in order to destroy a single glowing rot mass. You need to destroy three. Once you do that the boss is going to run away and you will need to fight a mob of enemies.
You need to take care of the enemies and then use the portal to proceed. On the other side, you will find even more enemies. You will also have to face a mini-boss. Once you deal with all the enemies the Corrupt Rot God is going to come back and the boss battle is going to start yet again.
You need to repeat the process of destroying the rot on its body. Once you do that the boss is going to run away again. Once that happens you will need to platform across a small section in order to continue the boss encounter.
Phase Two
Once you enter the new arena, the second phase of the Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Corrupt Rot God boss fight is going to start. You will need to take out the minions while avoiding the boss. The boss is going to attack more often and is going to behave more aggressively in this phase of the fight.
This part of the fight is going to take some skill and a lot of patience as you need to take out all the minions. You can damage the boss by grabbing the lodged spears in the backside of the boss. There are three that you need to take out. This can take some getting used to as the boss keeps moving around.
