Genshin Impact Best Albedo Support Build Guide: Weapons, Artifacts

Genshin Impact Albedo Build

Be it waifus or husbands, Genshin Impact always has something in store for you. However, at times, it tries to go even further than that to introduce characters like Albedo that are not even alive.

So how does this synthetic human’s kit works in-game, and what are the most recommended builds for it? We’re glad you asked!

So, in this guide, we will show everything you need to know in order to play Albedo in the way he’s meant to be played. With that said, let’s jump right in!

Who Is Albedo In Genshin Impact?

Albedo is a 5 Star Geo sword character in Genshin Impact. He possesses an insane amount of supplemental Geo damage and is a pretty well-rounded character in general.

He is a synthetic human created by the alchemist Rdinedottir. While not much is known about the specifics of his origins, Albedo currently holds the title of the Chief Alchemist.

via Peakpx

He’s also the captain of the investigation team created for the Knights of Favonius. Albedo currently holds a letter of recommendation from the adventurer Alice and possesses an infinite desire to learn.

As an alchemist’s creation, Albedo’s desire to know everything and anything around him is immense!

Best Albedo Builds In Genshin Impact

As mentioned previously, Albedo is a character that wants to play with as many Geo characters in his team as possible.

His Elemental Burst has one of the shortest in-game cooldowns – making him a menace – if played correctly. Having said that, here’s how Albedo is generally built in Genshin Impact:

Best Weapons On Albedo

Albedo generally prefers to go Cinnabar Spindle for his in-game damage. Pair that up with the Harbinger of Dawn, and you have a complete F2P set at your behest.

If you’re looking for DPS, then the Primordial Jade Cutter is an extremely good option for Albedo! Therefore, you won’t have to worry about taking forever to kill enemies.

Cinnabar Spindle

The Cinnabar Spindle is a 4-Star sword originating from the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event. Its ability is called Spotless Heart.

According to this ability, your Elemental Skill DMG experiences a 40% – 80% boost in the DEF stat. However, this effect can only be triggered once every 1.5 seconds and will last until your Elemental Skill deals DMG.

Since Albedo is supposed to inflict Geo DMG, this weapon proves to be a great pairing due to its defense boost. Being tanky is the way to go!

Primordial Jade Cutter

This is a 5-star Liyue sword belonging to the Primordial Jade Series. In terms of rarity and in-game effectiveness, this is as good as it gets.

The weapon skill of the Primordial Jade Cutter is called Protector’s Virtue. According to the official description, it essentially increases your HP by 20% – 40%.

Consequently, you also gain an ATK Bonus of 1.2% – 2.4% of Albedo’s max HP. Considering there aren’t many paragraph-long quotes, the ability might feel a bit lackluster.

However, pair it with a tank, and the defense to damage proposition will quite literally break logic.

Harbinger of Dawn – Best F2P Option

Harbringer of Dawn is a 3-star sword belonging to the general category. Its weapon passive is called Vigorous.

It essentially increases your CRIT Rate by 14% – 28% when your HP is above 90%. Considering any damage amping weapons are good on geo characters, you won’t find a better option in the 3-star category!

Best Artifacts On Albedo

Since Albedo largely benefits from going the tanky route, you’d mainly be looking for Artifacts that have great a to b conversion ratios. Alternatively, you can also opt for a tanky build.

Having said that, here’s the best of both worlds:

Husk of Opulent Dreams

This is a defensive artifact set that goes hand in hand with Albedo’s kit. In fact, you can jam it on any Geo character, and still find success with it.

The Husk of Opulent Dreams set consists of the following:

  • Flower of Life: Bloom Times
  • Plume of Death: Plume of Luxury
  • Sands of Eon: Song of Life
  • Goblet of Eonothem: Calabash of Awakening
  • Circlet of Logos: Skeletal Hat

The set bonuses for these artifacts activate at the following marks:

2 – Piece Bonus

Equipping any two of the above-mentioned items will increase your DEF stat by 30%.

4 – Piece Bonus

After equipping, Albedo will obtain Curiosity, as long as the following conditions are met:

Whenever on the field, the character will gain 1 stack of Curiosity whenever it hits the opponent with a Geo imbued attack. This effect has a cooldown timer of 0.3 seconds.

Your character will gain 1 stack every 3 seconds off-field, as long as he/she is a party member.

Curiosity: Each stack of Curiosity provides a 6% increase in DEF and Geo DMG attributes. This ability can stack for a total of 4 times.

You will lose 1 stack for every 6 seconds lost without a new Curiosity stack.

How To Obtain

Both 4* and 5* variants of this item can be obtained by challenging the Slumbering Court.

This Domain of Blessing is located on the Seirai Island. The higher the level you challenge and clear, the better the artifact reward will be.

Archaic Petra

This artifact set increases your overall damage output by introducing conditional boosts that can be activated mid-battle.

The Archaic Petra set consists of the following:

  • Flower of Life: Flower of Creviced Cliff
  • Plume of Death: Feather of Jagged Peaks
  • Sands of Eon: Sundial of Enduring Jade
  • Goblet of Eonothem: Goblet of Chiseled Crag
  • Circlet of Logos: Mask of Solitude Basalt

The set bonuses of these artifacts activate at the following marks:

2 – Piece Bonus

This artifact synergy increases your overall Geo DMG bonus by 15%, causing you to be more effective – even as a sub-DPS in a team comp.

4 – Piece Bonus

All of your party members will gain a 35% DMG bonus whenever you gain an Elemental Shard. This bonus is only limited to the element you’ve picked the shard of.

However, considering Geo characters like Albedo gain shards like there’s no tomorrow, that should be the least of your concerns.

With that said, this bonus lasts for the next 10 seconds, and this effect can only be active for one element at a time.

How To Obtain

The Archaic Petra set can be obtained from the Domain of Guyun – a Domain of Blessing located in the Guyun Stone Forest.

The higher the levels you challenge, the better chances you have of obtaining the 4* and 5* rarities of the Archaic Petra.

Tenacity of the Millelith

This is a brawling-type artifact that offers enhancements to both offensive and defensive aspects of the battle.

The Tenacity of the Millelith artifact set comprises the following:

  • Flower of Life: Flower of Accolades
  • Plume of Death: Ceremonial War-Plume
  • Sands of Eon: Orichalceous Time-Dial
  • Goblet of Eonothem: Noble’s Pledging Vessel
  • Circlet of Logos: General’s Ancient Helm

The set bonuses of these artifacts activate at the following marks:

2 – Piece Mark

This Bonus increases your maximum HP by 20%. Considering you’re going a hybrid build, this can be pretty good since it provides that base tankiness you lose in the brawler route.

4 – Piece Mark

Whenever your Elemental Skill hits an opponent, your party members receive a damage increase of 20%, whereas their shield strength experiences a 30% boost for the next 3 seconds.

You can only trigger this effect once every 0.5 seconds. However, your character does not need to be on-field to trigger it.

Now, considering you’re packing a full Geo team comp with Albedo as the support DPS, this ability can be exceptionally good!

How To Obtain

The Tenacity of the Millelith set can be obtained from the Ridge Watch – a Domain of Blessing located within the mountainous area between Mondstadt and Liyue.

The higher the levels you challenge, the better chances you have of obtaining the 4* and 5* rarities of the Tenacity of the Millelith.

What’s The Best Team For Albedo?

Albedo lacks the damage to become the main DPS carry for a team. However, he truly outshines others when it comes to tanking damage while providing support at the frontlines.

Even if Albedo’s kit isn’t carry-oriented, he’s a pretty strong pick, and the following comps make the best use of him in regard to his abilities:

Zhongli

Being a 5-star Geo character, Zhongli amps up Albedo’s Elemental Resonance while proving to be an insanely good frontline and sub-DPS.

The general idea is to use him as a support to enable Albedo’s kit. Pair Zhongli’s ability to petrify his enemies in the mix and the duo becomes pretty neat.

Gorou

Similar story here as well; your Elemental Resonance experiences a boost whenever your shields are up.

Additionally, Gorou has the ability to boost Albedo’s DEF and Geo Damage output while being an active healer on the battlefield.

All in all, it’s pretty hard for your Geo party members to die as long as you have a Gorou in the mix.

Xiao

Being the sole non-Geo recommendation, Xiao’s plunge attacks tend to be pretty good with Albedo’s elemental skills.

His Elemental Burst essentially makes him come crashing from the sky without taking any damage. Xiao is pretty light and nimble in terms of his fighting style, which syncs pretty well with Albedo’s heavy strides.

In short, both complement each other pretty well and can prove to be a great tag team.

Noelle

Albedo can prove to be a supplement damage dealer for Noelle while he uses his normal attacks. Additionally, Noelle can complement his playstyle by providing constant healing through her Elemental Skill.

Despite having little to no standalone damage, Noelle is pretty strong when it comes to tanking. Besides, she’s one of the only few characters that can convert normal attacks of fellow party members into wide-range AoE Geo DMG.

Albedo: Ability Rundown

Albedo isn’t supposed to be the primary carry of your team. However, he can be a lot more than that, depending on how you want to use him and his kit.

Having said that, here’s how his abilities operate:

Basic Attack: Favonius Bladework – Weiss

Barbara performs a total of 5 rapid strikes that deal damage on successful hits.

There’s not a lot associated with his basic blows since they’re meant to apply the weapon passives.

With that said, here’s how the damage scaling works for Favonius Bladework – Weiss:

Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma – Elemental Skill

As the name suggests, Albedo uses Alchemy to create a Solar Isotoma that deals AoE Geo DMG to enemies within its appearance range.

via Wiki

Here’s how the Solar Isotoma works:

  • Enemies within the Solar Isotoma field range will generate Transient Blossoms whenever they’re hit with a successful attack. These Blossoms deal AoE Geo DMG which scales off Albedo’s DEF.
  • You can only generate one Transient Blossom per 2 seconds.
  • The character located at the locus of the Solar Isotoma will make the ability accumulate Geo Power to create a platform that lifts that character up at a certain height.
  • You can only have one crystallized platform active at a time. Since it’s a Geo Construct, only Albedo can create it.

On that note, here’s how its attribute scaling works:

Albedo – Passive Talents

Passive Talents are the ones that morph a character into a specific playstyle. They can be extremely rewarding if you play to thir requirements, but can be just as useless, if you try to pull a hailmary build.

Here’s how they essentially work:

Calcite Might – Ascension 1 Talent

This talent boosts your Transient Blossom damage from the Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma by 25%.

via Wiki

However, this only works for the opponents whose HP bar is already below 50%.

Homuncular Nature – Ascension 4 Talent

This talent temporarily increases the Elemental Mastery of the characters near you by 125 for the next 10 seconds.

via Wiki

The activation condition for Homuncular Nature is to use Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide.

Flash of Genius (Albedo) – Automatic Unlock

Albedo has a 10% chance of receiving twice the amount when crafting Weapon Ascension Materials.

via Wiki

This passive really helps in power-leveling him. While it’s not as potent as something like stamina consumption reduction, it’s still pretty good nonetheless.

Albedo – Constellations

Like any other character in Genshin Impact, Albedo’s kit comprises six unique constellations meant to provide a roundup to him as a sub carry.

Albedo Constellations | via Gameranx

Here’s how they work:

Level 1 Constellation – Flower of Eden

This constellation regenerates 1.2 points of Albedo’s Energy bar whenever he generates Transient Blossoms from Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma.

Level 2 Constellation – Opening of Phanerozoic

Albedo gains Fatal Reckoning for the next 30 seconds of creating Transient Blossoms.

Fatal Reckoning

Casting Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide will consume all stacks of Fatal Reckoning.

  • Upon consumption, Fatal Reckoning increases the DMG dealth by Fatal Blossoms along with a 30% of Albedo’s DEF’s increase in Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide’s DMG.
  • Fatal Reckoning can be stacked upto 4 times.

Level 3 Constellation – Grace of Helios

Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma’s level is increased by 3, with the upgrade level cap being 15.

Level 4 Constellation – Descent of Divinity

The Plunging Attack of all active party members in the Isotoma field experiences a 30% damage increase.

Level 5 Constellation – Tide of Hadean

Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide’s level is increased by 3, with the upgrade level cap being 15.

Level 6 Constellation – Dust of Purification

All of your active party members present within the Isotoma field while having a shield (the one created by Crystallize) will have a 17% damage boost.
